They're North African, Arab & Levantine, Egyptian, and maybe even some blood from the Iberian peninsula itself (previous to Al-Mualim's marriage to his Spanish Christian wife) —but some of their origin also lies in the tribal Tuareg Amazigh peoples of Niger & Mali, a heritage they diligently and graciously keep alive. ⵣ This all converges "currently" in Andalusi.
