I wanted to upload this dramatis personae from the start, or with the other one, but I couldn't because of spoilers, so it has been sitting here for ages 😭 It still needs some work, future corrections/changes and stuff, but we are reintroducing the Lazarites and some help with names is needed.

Lluna's uncle, her mom's brother. Son of Álvaro De Bosch and Catalina Pardo Levante.

Took up the cross around 1173, after Álvaro sent him to make up for his sister marrying a Muslim, and joined Saint Lazarus circa late 1175 after gathering his bearings, and seeing how the charitable, caretaking life called to him more than full crusading. Participated in an auxiliary manner at the battles of Montgisard and Marj Ayyun, where his rank and recognition ascended, although he never met Baudouin formally until Lluna's arrival. Fernando is humble (well, rather learned to be so, after being a cocky teen/young adult), so never attended the King's ceremonies of awards. At this time, Baudouin did not yet wear his full coverings, so when Fernando aided in the battles, he knew him by face as the young king, but only from a distance.

Gismond d'Arcy & Nikolaos Seriphos

(The Kingsguards)

("the Lazarite dozen" / "the affected dozen")
[images from Knightfall. A bad show, but this representation of the Lazarites is not that bad. As analyzed in my tumblr and insta, they did wear a latin cross shape in Baldwin's time—contrary to the greek/pattée of the templars—which is how I'm making my surcoat]
