The new investors were going to be here in less than a few minutes and no one has seen Mrs. Kordei anywhere since before lunch.

I made a new friend at Vogue. And luckily she was really nice and willing to help me out with a lot of things.

"So is Ms. Kordei as big of a bitch as the rumors say?" Shay asked with a smirk, writing down on a notepad before clicking the keys on her computer keyboard.

"A little, but I haven't completely come to terms yet. She seems a little uptight." I laughed, brushing my hair back out of my eyes.

"Ms. Y/L/N!" I heard Ms. Kordei call me from behind, "Get into the conference room and stall for about ten minutes."

I rolled my eyes and hopped off of Shay's desk, "Duty calls."

"Yeah, fuck that." She giggled, turning her attention to the computer screen.

I slouched away from the cubicles to go down the hall to the conference room surrounded by glass walls.

I entered it to see a huge screen set up and ready for a presentation. When I turned my body, there were four investors waiting impatiently, checking their watches.

I smiled fakely, "Ms. Kordei is running later than expected. Can I get any of you some coffee or water?"

"No," A husky and angry man said, "But you can tell Ms. Kordei to get her Louis Vuitton ass in here at once."

I smirked, "Trust me. We all want her here. She said ten minutes at maximum."

"Look." The bald man said who had about four gold rings on each hand, "I'm a very busy man and if Ms. Kordei does not show up within the next five minutes, I can assure you that-"

"Sorry, I'm late." Kordei laughed, rushing into the room with a portfolio in hand. "Traffic was a bitch."

Her eyes glared over me, "Y/N, you may leave and take care of the things I left with Jessica for you."

"Of course." I smiled. I didn't even know I could be so fake about how annoyed I was. "Nice meeting you all."

I hurried my way out of the conference room to take care of the deeds that my oh-so precious boss needed.

I finished the chores off within an hour and thirty minutes before taking my normal seat outside of Ms. Kordei's office.

Jessica began packing up her things quickly, "I can't believe you've been here for two days. The last intern only stayed for three hours."

I shrugged, "Well, its either this job or be homeless."

She smiled sincerely and nodded, "I understand." The phone rang and Jessica answered it, "Yes, Mrs. Kordei?....Yes she is... Okay, I'll send her your way." She hung up the phone and smirked at me, "Looks like the queen has called for her peasant."

"Ha ha." I mocked sarcastically before getting up and walking to her door regrettably.

I opened the door to see Ms. Kordei looking over a file at her desk while leaned back in her designer leather chair.

Her legs were crossed and her glasses hung at the edge of her nose.

I began strolling to my seat and as I was about to sit down she spoke up in a demanding voice, "Do not sit down."

"Why not?"

Kordei looked up from the file and glared at me, "Didn't anyone ever teach you to not talk back to your authoritive figure?"
