"Hey Y/N." Camila said, standing with a hopeful look on her face.
Normani looked at the girl and then signaled to me that someone was there.
"Hey, Normani. Did you hear something?" I mocked angrily before taking another bite of my food.
"Oh stop being so childish." Camila growled out. "You won't even let me say I'm sorry."
I rolled my eyes and looked over at the girl, "You're forgiven. Now leave me alone."
Camila grabbed my arm and looked over to Normani while pulling me out of the booth, "She'll just be a minute."
I pushed her off, "No, I won't. Leave me alone. We aren't friends anymore. You're forgiven but that's it. Now leave me in peace to eat."
Camila scoffed and peered over at me, "Whatever. I tried."
"You didn't try shit." I mumbled under my breath as I took my seat.
"Wow, that was exciting. I thought you were gonna grab her by her hair and choke her out." Normani laughed.
"I was tempted." I smiled but felt bad for that while altercation. "I'm sorry about that."
"Is she the girl that-" Kordei understood more than anything. I nodded in response and she shook her head. "Then I honestly would've paid to see you beat her ass."
"You'd better just have the money to bail me out of jail after mangling her face." I laughed.
We ate a bit more and had a few on-off conversations about everything before I decided to get to know her some more.
"So, what would the famous 'Normani Kordei' be doing right now if it weren't for Vogue?" I asked heras she took a sip of her water.
She thought about it for a moment before answering me. "Probably singing in some dive bar."
"You sing? That's cute." I giggled, "They have karaoke here some nights. You should do it." I snapped my fingers in the air to try and signal a waiter.
"What are you doing?" Normani exclaimed with her eyes wide.
One quickly came to our table, "Do you need some refills?"
I shook my head, "No sir. My friend here would love to do some karaoke."
"Y/N, stop." Normani begged but I didn't listen.
The waiter smiled, "Of course. I'll go tell them to start it up. And her name?"
"Let's call her Moni." I joked as the waiter walked away to talk to someone behind the bar.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Normani said nervously, "I haven't sang in front of people since I was a teen."
I smiled at her supportively since I could see the nerves begin to eat her alive, "Baby girl. Just go up there and have fun. Plus, if you sing for me I'll take you back to the room and fuck you until you can't breathe. Deal?"
I could see her contemplate it before she slightly nodded.
"Alright." A man said in a loud speaker. "It's karaoke time!" The crowd of people cheered loudly before the man continued, "Our first singer was requested by her dear friend. Let's welcome Moni."
Normani took a deep breath before getting up to walk over to the stage that was basically the only lit place in the building.
I trailed over to the bar and took a seat on the stool so I could get a better view of her.
She turned to choose her song and then smiled sheepishly as the up beat music began playing.
All of a sudden, she changed into this fierce character and the whole crowd started picking up before she even started singing.
