"So, why do you think she's married to Dinah?" Shay questioned after grabbing her order from the counter and sitting down at the table in front of me. "I mean, I've been here for two years and they don't really act married."

I couldn't tell Shay the truth. If I was to say I know all of this because I'm fucking the boss, who knows what will happen next.

I shrugged and took a bite of my food, "I don't know. It's just something that's just come up."

"With her?"

"No." I laughed. "It's just obvious."

I pulled out my phone and continued to look up 'Normani Kordei and Dinah Hansen'.

I know a lot about Ms. Kordei but only about her fashion career. I've never been much for learning about people's personal lives because I've always worked.

The first result was a rumor blog that had the title 'Kordei and Hansen band together for new clothing line in Spring 2016'.

I pressed on my screen to open the page and skim through the article.

"The Dynamic Duo and Power Couple of the world is now working together to create a new clothing line that will be sponsored by Gucci and Vogue. It is going to bring back the modern looks of the New York Streets where the two women met only three years ago. The line will not only include clothes but also many accessories like: necklaces, bracelets, basically the whole shabang.

We wish the happy women a lot of success as they continue the road of slaying us with the beautiful and glam garb."

I shook my head in disbelief. Everything is coming together and I don't like it.

"What's wrong?" Shay asked softly.

"Nothing." I replied after gulping down my spit.

"Okay, weirdo." Shay giggled.

The day went by slowly and I did my best to avoid Normani. I didn't feel like talking to her. Although when I got the call from Jessica at the end of the day that Kordei needed to see me before I went home, I knew I couldn't run away from her anymore.

I stood outside of her office door, took a deep breath, then walked in.

Kordei was sitting on her desk with her legs crossed and eyes darted towards the door.

"It took you forever to get here." Normani smirked before uncrossing her legs and getting up to walk towards my stunned body and locking the door behind me.

Her hand met my waist and moved to push on the small of my back so she could guide me to 'the room' which was now lighted up brighter than the last time I was in there.

It all felt wrong now. Even though I had been craving the touch, warmth, and company of Normani, I was helping her cheat. I didn't want to be a part of that.

I stopped at the door frame and turned around to look her in the eyes.

"When were you going to tell me you're married?" I couldn't play coy and just go in and fuck her lights out. I had to talk to her about this.

Kordei pulled me into the room and closed the door behind us. "How'd you know about that?"

"I've done my research ever since you pushed me out of your house." I shook my head at her. "We were both vulnerable that night but I would never stoop as low as taking another woman's wife. I know exactly how it feels to be cheated on and it sucks."

My hand pushed down on the handle but Kordei pulled my hand away to shut the door and lock it once again. "Can you just let me explain?" I crossed my arms and turned around to let her have the floor. She chewed on her bottom lip nervously before continuing. "It wasn't supposed to be like this, okay. I didn't think I'd ever like you. I just needed someone to take this energy out on. Dinah and I, we aren't..... we aren't doing good right now." Normani could tell I still didn't believe her so she grabbed my hand to pull me to the back of the room and sit beside me on the bed. Her hand was placed on my thigh and her eyes were locked with mine as she continued, "Even though I want to say that night was a mistake, it wasn't."

"So what are you trying to say?" I looked deep into her chocolate colored eyes to make sure she was telling the truth but they never once left mine.

Her fingers traced and caressed the skin of my thigh as she responded, "Maybe I have feelings for you, but.."

"But what?"

"Even though I'm for sure that Dinah and I don't love each other anymore, there could never be an us." Her voice broke as she continued to explain. When she saw my hurt reaction, she hurried to add on, "Only because it's not safe for you. When I was explaining Lauren to you, I was basically telling you everything about Dinah. If she finds out that I even have a slim shot of love for someone else she-"

"Then why are you telling me this? Why are you telling me you want me if there's no chance of us ever having a life together?"

Kordei paused and thought for a moment as her hand grabbed mine and her thumb caressed over the top of my hand, "Because I don't want you to leave me." My heart almost broke at that sentence. I was stunned. I didn't know how to respond. "Please don't take my feelings as a weakness. I just don't want to lose you right now. What we have right now is good. Right?"

"Yeah." I bit down on the back of my jaw to keep myself from saying something stupid.

I could see the way she was eyeing my lips.

Kordei leaned in close to softly grazed her lips against mine before connecting them completely. Once our lips met each other, Kordei put her hand behind my neck to pull me deeper into the kiss.

My hands met her waist as she laid me back on the bed. Her legs straddled my body. Slowly but surely, her hips began rolling and her body was grinding into mine.

I pulled away from the kiss and breathed out heavily, "What time is it?"

"Almost nine. Why?" Normani replied before pushing back into the kiss.

I pushed her off once more, "Shit. I need to go."

I tried to get up but Kordei wouldn't budge at all. Her butt was now seated on my stomach as she looked down at me, "Why?"

"I promised my family id meet them tonight."

Kordei smirked and leaned in to kiss my neck, "A few more minutes won't hurt."

A soft moan expelled from my mouth as I let her softly nibble on my flesh while my finger nails dug into her hips.

"Baby, please." I begged with a shaky voice.

"I love your pet names." Kordei replied sensually.

"You won't love them when Lauren comes to the building to beat your ass for keeping me here late." I laughed.

Kordei shot up, "I thought you said she cheated on you."

"She did."

"And you're still with her?" a her brow was now raised at me.

"No but she seems to think she still has a right to me." I began rubbing soft circles into her sides.

Normani licked her lips and eyed me down slowly. I felt like see was scanning over every curve I had to show almost as if I was her prey. "Fine. Then what are you doing tomorrow?"

"Working." I giggled lightly.

"Then," Kordei moved back in to lightly suck on my neck, "You'll be free to have a long session tomorrow. Right?"

"Mm. Yes." I bit my lip to stifle an even louder moan that wanted to leave the back of my throat.

Kordei pulled her lips away after a moment of lingering and crawled off of me.

I say up and pushed my hair back to one side of my head before getting up and pressing down my button up. "Do I look okay?"

Kordei bit her lip and nodded with a smile, "You look beautiful." Her eyes ran over my body but not in the demeaning and sexual way. It was the intriguing way that she observed things. It was like she was trying to see all she could just for a quick moment.

I half smiled and pecked her lips once more, "See you tomorrow?"

Her smile was sad but she nodded and pecked my lips again before I hurried out to grab my phone and bag to see where I was supposed to meet up with everyone.
