The sheets were wrapped around us as our bare bodies pressed together in an embrace.

I was staring up at the ceiling when I felt Normani start fiddling with my fingers.

"Thank you." She whispered into my ear.

"For what?"

"It's been a while since I've felt like... that." She giggled lightly.

"My pleasure." I replied confidently, "But you haven't felt pleasure until I've used my fingers but I don't think you're ready for that yet."

Kordei stopped messing with my hands and pulled the sheets over our bodies before climbing on top of me.

Her lips met mine before she spoke to be with a lifted brow, "I'm sure I could handle it."

"I dunno." I mocked. "You probably won't be able to walk for a few days."

"Oh shut up." She smirked, leaning back in to kiss my lips as my hands took a hold of her assets.

After she pulled away, she fluttered her eyelashes at me and looked me over.

There was a slight sound in the house and she heard it. She hurried to pull the covers off of her and wrap herself in them as she got up.

"Get dressed but stay in here." She ordered me sternly before walking over to the door and to open it quietly.

The way she was talking almost made it seem like she was afraid of whatever was in the house and I didn't want to stay to find out what that was.

I hurried to slip my clothes on and just as my heels were on my feet she rushed in.

"You need to leave now." Her voice had a slight panic.

"What why?"

"I can't explain right now." She pushed me towards the window and luckily we were on the first floor.

"Normani, what the fuck is going on?" I asked in a whisper.

"Just leave." She begged me.

I shook my head and crawled out of the window to have her slam it shut quickly.

I walked out the front gate and called a cab on my phone. I had to get back home and get some money and clothes before leaving Lauren completely since I left my bag in Normani's car.

--

Thirty minutes later, I was dropped off by the cab. I was so thankful that I had twenty dollars in my skirt pocket from earlier.

I reluctantly walked up to the door and used the hidden key in the fern by the door to unlock it as quietly as I could.

Since its late at night, I'm sure Lauren is at work. I mean, if she even works now. I can't believe a damn thing she's said to me at this point.

The house was dark and quiet which gave me an eerie feeling.

I turned on the bedroom light and went to the closet to dig in a duffle of mine and find my envelope full of spare money.

I always had tips at whatever job I got so I would keep them hidden. I think I have a thousand dollars or so here.

I folded the packed envelope up and put it in my back pocket before grabbing a few clothes and stuffing them into the duffle.

"Where have you been?" A groggy voice said behind me.

I turned my head to see a disheveled Lauren with a vodka bottle clutched in her hand.
