"So Derek we're going to take you up for surgery now" Dr Hasting said putting on her scrub cab
"Ok can you give us a minute" I replied and she nodded then walked out with the nurses
"I'll see you soon ok" I said taking her hand
"Ok but don't ask for any more morphine your just as goofed without" she replied putting forehead on mine
"Ok I won't I promise"
I put my hand on her cheek and kissed her until Dr Hastings came back in.
"Ready?"
"As I'll ever be doc" I replied as she wheeled me away
Marks POV
I walked up to Callie's door and knocked. Everybody in this hall had grown to like each other over the past couple of weeks.
"Hey Torres I was wondering if you and Arizona wanted to come and visit Derek with me he should be out of surgery in the next hour and a half" I asked
"Yea sure is Mer there" Arizona shouted
"Yea she just needs a break she's been there since lunch time today"
"Wow she's been there over 7-8 hours"
"I know.....So meet me at the car in a hour"
"Ok I'll see you soon"
Meredith's POV
I've been sitting here for about 2 hours Mark, Arizona and Callie are meant to be here but they're caught up in traffic. I started to fall asleep until I heard moving and groaning.
"Hey sweetie how you feeling" I asked running my hands through his hair
"Ok a little sore. so what did they do?" He replied but Dr Hastings and a new doctor came in
"Meredith, Derek this is Dr Halliwell he is going to help you with recovery and physical therapy because the type of injury you had means you need an Ortho surgeon in your recovery" she said
"Ok nice to meet you so what did you do because my leg looks like terminator" I replied
"Well we placed some metal rods in your leg to keep your knee in place and several attachments for your nerves and ligaments. Your surgery was very successful Derek and I'll come and check on you later." She smiled then walked out.
