Danny Pov

I paced back and forth while biting my lip. Dean has been gone for weeks. I'm trying to fight back doubts. Did he leave me for good? Could he not do what I asked him to do? I just wanted him to work on himself then us. I didn't know he was going to leave me. As more and more doubts took hold of me I started to spin. My mind is racing and coming up with all kinds of scenarios and conclusions. None are good. Did Dean leave me? I gasped and grabbed my chest. I can't be without him.

"Hey," Pope and Tasha said walking in the room.

"Hey," I replied solemnly.

"Still no word."

"No," I replied. Which is weird. Dean probably can pull enough strength to stay away from me, but Kyliegh? Absolutely not. I looked at Kyle when he walked in. He went over to the bar and poured a drink.

I stormed over to him. "Where is he, Kyle? I know you know where he is. Has he contacted you?"

"Danny baby." He raised his hand in a placating manner.

"He has, hasn't he." I sat down stunned. Kyle has been lying to me. I looked up at Tasha and Pope's faces. They all have been lying to me.

I ran to the table and grabbed my keys and phone. "I'm going to find him. If you all want to lie to me you won't be able to do it to my face."

"Danny, stop."

I turned to Kyle with tears in my eyes. "Why did you lie to me, Kyle? Is he gone? Did Dean leave me? Just tell me. I can take it."

He came to me and grabbed my cheek with both hands. "Silly, silly girl. No one is leaving you. No one is capable of leaving you. It's impossible. We didn't want you to worry, but Dean is out collecting all the strays from your mother's organization. We can't have them coming back and putting you, Kyleigh or the new baby in danger."

"You know?" I asked.

"It's your breast babe. They are the first thing that gets big when you're pregnant."

I blushed.

"Why is it taking him so long to hunt them down? My mother and Felderman have been dead for weeks."

Kyle shifted uncomfortably. Kyle is a terrible liar when it comes to me. That's how I knew something was off when he got antsy with the plan to stop my mom. Kyle was very close to blowing the entire plan because he didn't trust anyone with my safety but him.

"He said he needed time to work through some things."

"What kind of things? Things like if he wants to stay married to me or not. What things, Kyle?"

"Danny baby. I don't know," he said solemnly.

"I'm going to find him." I continued my walk to the door. I hopped in whoever car was parked closest to the front door.

I called my grandfather as I went through the gate and hit the main highway.

"Hi sweetheart."

"Pop, I need your help." I skipped the formalities and got right to it.

"What do you need?"

"Find Dean for me, pops. Please. He needs to be at home with his family."

He went quiet for a moment. I was praying that he did this for me. I'm sure he's breaking one of his organization's rules.

"I'll send you his coordinates."

I let out a sigh of relief. "Thanks pop."

As I waited for pops to send me the location. I can't help but to think about my mom. She was beautiful. She had soft features. She looked so harmless. That is until her countenance changed into one of hate.

For some reason. She hated me. She looked at me with so much disgust that I didn't think I could have pulled it off.

Flashback

I took a deep breath and fixed my face before Dean called the whole thing off. For some reason Dean looked calm. Kyle on the other hand looked like he wanted to kidnap me and lock me away. Since I know Kyle better than anyone, I tried to convince him that I could do it.

I grabbed his hand. I smiled. "I know what you're thinking."

He clenched his jaw. "What am I thinking?"

"You're thinking of whisking me away so you can protect me against this. Any other time I would agree with you, but Kyle. I got this. I want my life to start. I want you to nail Felderman and rescue those children. We can do this Kyle." I'm sure Kyle wasn't nervous for himself. He's been in plenty of battles and shoot-outs. He's worried about me.

"Don't you believe in Tasha and Pope?"

When he smiled, I knew I had him. He couldn't tell Tasha and Pope to their faces that he didn't believe in them. I'm sure they would have had some kind of conflict.

"Of course I do. I Just wanted to get a visual of you for good luck."

"You don't need luck, Kyle. You are the best at what you do. Now go. We got this."

It was very hard to convince him. When he and Dean went outside and got into a fake fist fight and got into their cars and drove away, I started to get very nervous.

When she showed up the air got thick.

I snapped from my daydream when my phone beeped. It was Dean's location. I made my way there. My nerves were starting to get to me. I hope he wouldn't deny me. I wouldn't be able to take it. I've loved this man for so long that I don't know how to live without him. I've tried and it almost killed me.

When I made it to the location I started to sweat profusely as I looked around.

It was a small little cottage with a larger building behind it.

I went to the door and opened it. I looked around, it was empty. I went to the back and left from the backdoor.

I made my way to the larger building. I folded my lip up to my nose at the stench when I made it inside. I looked around. There were hooks in the ceiling and puddles of liquid underneath. That's where the piss smell is coming from.

I jumped when Dean came into my view out of nowhere. He's shirtless with jeans and boots on. My breathing started to quicken. I took a deep breath to get my libido under control. The man is sexy as sin. Always has been.

"Danny, what are you doing here?"

"I've come to bring you home."

I didn't like the look he gave me. Tears threaten to race down my face. I knew it.

I held my hand out to him. "Dean, come on."

"Danny."

"Come home, now!" I screamed.

"Danny, I don't want to hurt you. I've never wanted to hurt you. But you and my feelings for you make me too emotional. I..."

I blinked as he stuttered. Dean has never stuttered.

"I don't think I can keep my promise to you. The only way I can do that is if I stay away."

I gasped and put my hand on my chest.

"No," I softly breathed out.
