"C'mon daddy! The lions are over there!" Your small daughter tugged on your husbands hand, dragging the tall man behind her.

You decided that today you would have a family day with your husband and small yet lively six year old. It was probably the last day of decent weather, the rain clouds were already starting to roll in.

"I'm coming love, no need to rush." He cooed, taking his other hand in yours as you followed her quick pace.

When you all finally arrived at the fence, she squealed with delight, pressing her chubby cheeks against the bars.

"Daddy, lift me up so I can see better!" She exclaimed, turning quickly with her arms reaching out. He complied with a soft chuckle, and lifted her up and had her place her feet against the metal as he held her middle.

The sight was endearing, the two important figures in your life watching the animals with such intensity. You quickly brought out your phone and snapped a picture, causing both sets of deep blue eyes to stare at you.

"You guys are so adorable." You mused, snapping one more of them before making your way closer to look at the lions yourself.

As you stood there, a little tune started to bubble up from you, and it wasn't long before you sang it with a giggle.

"And you thought the lions were bad-"

"No love stop it, don't ruin the day with a song like that." Daniel chuckled, setting your daughter down again.

"Daddy I love that song!" She looked up at him, her dark hair blowing in her face.

He reached down, swept the locks much like his own out of her face, and replied, "Well, baby girl, I don't so you have to go without."

She faked a pout before giggling to herself, turning around and pointing at the food stand across the way, "Daddy, I'm hungry!"

She began to run away, her pale legs taking her into the crowded area

"Laura no get back here!" Dan exclaimed, quickly running up and snatching her into his arms.

"Don't run away like that again, alright?" He said, giving her a stern gaze.

"Yes daddy." She said, but went to point at the food stand. "But I'm hungry."

He didn't reply, only gave you a look before making his way to where his daughter was pointing.

You caught up quickly, wrapping your arm around his waist and whispering, "Yeah, daddy, I'm hungry too."
