"Babe, I'm home," Will's normally soothing voice rang through the walls.

His voice now sounded far out and dangerous, intruding the silence of what i had grown used to.

He had been away for a few weeks, leaving me with my own thoughts and an empty apartment. My own thoughts that had destroyed me since his departure, to the brink of pure torture.

I slowly unwrapped my arms from my knees and pulled myself up from the couch. When I made it to the entry way, I found him standing there soaked,  hair plastered to his forehead.

Funny, I hadn't remembered any rain. Yet again, it's been a while since I've been in touch with my senses.

"Hi." I weakly spoke out, before walking towards him and taking his bags. I set them down by the coat rack, before turning back to face him.

He looked down at me, before giving me a small smile. "I missed you, love."

"I-i missed y-you t-t-" I couldn't even finish the sentence, I had to bite on my lip to keep it from quivering out of control.

He seemed
to notice my slip up, as he wrapped me up in his wet arms, bringing me into his chest.

"Shh, baby I'm home, I've got you." He hushed me,as the tears slipped from my eyes and down my cheeks.

Eventually we found our way to out shared bed, me in one of his t shirts and underwear while he lay in nothing but fresh boxers.

My cheek lay against his firm chest, listening to his heart beat in time with the rising and falling with every breath. It was like he was there, except for it felt like a dream. Not real.

"It is real, believe it or not." He whispered into the darkness, letting me know I had spoken aloud. His fingers ran patterns along my exposed thigh,  which lay strewn across his hip.

"I k-know." I mumbled, nuzzling my face into him, "it just seems to good to be true."
