We've been through this before.
It has already been said.
But still we chose to ignore
And look where that's led.If only we listened,
Just for once.
Took to heart what the other said,
It would have been easier by tons. We're not supposed to be this way.
This wasn't what I hoped for.
Now, I pray each day
For God to open just one door.Because I feel stuck, sometimes,
In the centre of it all,
Watching helplessly
And wondering when it will crumble and fall.I want it to be better.
I want things to be fine.
But it seems difficult right now,
When the sun simply refuses to shine. It won't happen on its own.
I have part to play.
As do the rest of you.
It's time we made our own way.If I recall correctly,
It was one thing after the other.
The small stuff created big issues,
As they piled up together. We spent a long time
Lining up the chips.
But now they're falling one by one,
And won't stop till the last one tips.Unless we hold on to one,
And hold it up erect.
So that we can somehow try
And stop the domino effect. So lets stop chasing
What's already falling.
Instead hold on to what we have still,
And prevent the rest from tumbling.Because you can't stop a domino effect,
If you run after the chips as they fall.
You must find one that lies in the path,
And hold it in place so it doesn't fall.

Once the dominoes have been set in motion, it's almost impossible to stop them, almost. But if you're fast enough to find one that hasn't fallen yet and then hold it in place, then you can prevent the rest from falling. It's the same in life. If your life is crumbling little by little, then be smart and find that one thing in your life that is strong and stable. Hold on to that one thing and fight as best as you can to keep it standing strong. Then when the fall is over, slowly and patiently, put the fallen dominoes back in place.
