The Eyepatch and the Rabbit (Touka x Kaneki fanfiction)

Chapter 1: The S Rated Eye Patch

Kaneki was a half breed ghoul named "eyepatch" due to his mask. He wasn't always an S Rated ghoul until he joined Aogori Tree, a ghoul organization moving against CCG. He had left Anteiku and especially left Touka-Chan. After their last confrontation on the bridge where she beat the snob out of him, he regretted leaving her for his personal ambition to protect everyone he loved. But he knew he had to get stronger, especially if he wanted to protect her.

Kaneki sighed unable to sleep due to the thoughts running through his head. He leaned on the edge of the bed thinking of her even if she hated him. "I have to see Touka-Chan". He grabbed some dark clothing and a hooded sweater to cover his face and began to stroll his way to Anteiku in the middle of the night.

Upon reaching the coffee shop he once worked at, he couldn't help but remember the old him before yamori had physically and psychologically tortured him. He put his thumb over his index finger and cracked it. A new habit he has gained and not the good habit either. He took out his cellphone and began to call Touka's cell. He knew the consequences of waking her up in the middle of the night, she was like a beast. Never disturb a beast while it's asleep or your asking for death.

Touka was sound asleep until her phone started vibrating on the counter next to her. She slowly opened her eyes and growled. "Who the hell is calling me in this hour?". She grabbed a pillow and put it over her head trying to avoid picking up the phone. Her phone continued to ring and she tossed the pillow aside with rage and picked up the phone and saw it was a private call. She answered and growled "Ok idiot, I don't know who you are but you better have a damn good explanation to why your calling me at this hour!" "Touka-Chan, it's Kaneki." Her eyes widened a bit but remembered what had happened that day on the bridge. "What do you want idiot?" "Can I come in?"Kaneki asked nervously knowing the answer would be most likely no. She groaned "I'll be down in a sec." She walked downstairs and opened the door to Anteiku and there he was, the white haired boy standing right in front of her once again. Kaneki walked in and looked at Touka smiling a bit putting his hood down. "Hey Touka-Chan" She noticed his smile wasn't the same after he had left, it was fake and full of pain. "Hey shitty Kaneki."

Seeing her made Kaneki's heart beat race. He closed the door behind him and sat in front of the counter taking a seat. Touka looked at him and asked "Why are you exactly here, didn't I say to stay away from here?" He sighed "Yes, but I couldn't help but miss this place and everyone" He frowned a bit. "That's what you get for leaving idiot" "Is my room still available?". Kaneki asked curiously "No, it's a storage room now." Kaneki couldn't help but feel dissapointed that his room was no longer available. "If that's all you came for you can leave now." She began to head for the door to go back upstairs until she felt a hand stop her by grabbing her arm. "Let me go!" She growled. "This isn't the only reason I came." He looked into her eyes. "Then why else are you here?" She clenched her fist waiting to hear his response.
