Meeting the "Monsters"

Valkyrie
I heard footsteps.
"Wait footsteps" I thought "That can't be right "
As the sound got louder, me and Skul hid behind a massive rock.

"Leo, please. Stop setting yourself on fire. It's very distracting." I heard a girl say.
"Sorry, Beauty Queen. I'm just nervous " A boy that must have been Leo replied.

Skulduggery jumped out with his hands on fire.
"Woah dude. Child of Hephaestus? "
"No. I have no idea what you're on about "

I came slowly out from behind my rock. Instantly I saw a girl with stormy grey eyes looking incredibly murderous for some reason.

"Well, we must introduce ourselves. I'm Piper and this is Leo" She motioned to the boy I heard speaking.

"Over there is Annabeth". She pointed at the girl with grey eyes as she continued to glare.

"That's Percy " a boy with black hair gave a friendly wave.

She introduced the others as Jason, Hazel and Frank. Annabeth was still looking at me with a wariness only a warrior could have. She looked at me as if I was about to turn into a monster. For all she knew, I could.

Everyone else seemed a lot more trusting.

"I'm Skulduggery and this is Valkyrie ". He motioned to me.

"Odd names for ordinary people " Annabeth stated.
"Ah, but we aren't ordinary. Not entirely." Skulduggery replied. With that, he removed his disguise.

Everyone gasped but Annabeth, seemingly unable to be taken by surprise, just looked at us with a new curiosity.

"Who are you and what are you doing near Gordon's house?" She suddenly asked.
"We told you who we are. Gordon was my uncle and we could ask you the same" I replied.

"Gordon was an old friend of mine. He wrote a few books about Percy " And what do you mean he was your uncle? "

"Didn't you hear, Gordon passed away a few years back"
"I knew that but what about the Echo Stone?"
"Darquesse, well no, I erased him off it" Skulduggery looked over at me.
"Impossible. Only a being of immense power could have -"

Skulduggery cut her off.
"She was and remains to be, extremely powerful "

Jason finally spoke. "But no demigod could be that powerful"
"Demigod?" I didn't understand what he meant

"Children of the gods" He told me
"Gods? You mean to say you're a child of the Faceless Ones?"

I heard a little giggle and it took me a moment to realise that it was coming from Hazel.
"No sillies. Frank and I are children of Roman gods. The rest are Greek. Jason is somewhere in between " Jason stared at the ground, clearly embarrassed.

"You had best be coming back to Camp with us" Percy said.

I looked over at Skulduggery but he merely shrugged.
"Alright, but if you put us in any sort of danger, I have the right to kill you all." Then he said very cheerfully "Well come on then"

Everyone exchanged nervous glances.
