Sinful Secrets by Rye_Bread
Hands shoved in his pockets, Thomas walked down the school hallway. His feet stepped in discarded papers and he tried to avoid the discarded remains of someone's lunch. The hall was close to being quiet, the only sound being the faint yells from the direction of the lunch room. Running a hand through his hair, he let his mind wander, wandering into places they probably shouldn't be. His thoughts became soaked up on the red head he was with in the bathroom, but a harsh tug on his hand and into a dark room was like a bucket of ice dumped on his head.
Ripping his hand back, he began searching for the door knob of the supply closet, not liking the slight smell of pencil shavings and puke. A chuckle interrupted his frantic search, however, and he blindly looked up to the noise. Hearing a click, the barely functioning glow of a light bulb illuminated the room. Seeing the familiar tint of red hair, he studied the person's face in front of him in shock. Either he was really drunk that night, or this person grew taller than him, even though Thomas was on the short side to begin with. It was probably the first option.
"What was that for?" Thomas questioned, immediately putting his guard up when he saw the familiar pin stating you were apart of the student council. The person looked down at him in amusement, muddy brown eyes tracing the features of his face. Giving him a lazy smile, the person leaned against a wall of toilet paper, the glint of their braces catching Thomas's attention for a second.
"I missed you," they said, and Thomas honestly wasn't listening any more. He was looking at the person's mouth, unintentionally inching closer.
"And I guess you missed me too," they whispered, moving closer. Thomas didn't move away, even though everything in him told him to, just to keep looking for the door knob. Ignoring that little voice in his head, he let the person play with his hair while he stared at the freckles dotting their nose.
They leaned down and kissed him, and Thomas immediately took control of the swap of spit. Until he felt a sharp pain in his lip. Jumping away, he gripped his injured lip, glaring at the red head in front of him in accusation. The metal taste of blood filled his mouth, and an embarrassed blush darkened the ginger's skin, who was now rubbing a finger across their braces.
"Sorry?" they questioned, and the adorably weirded out expression on their face made the look of anger slip off Thomas's. As he thought of it some more, he realized how ridiculous the whole situation was. Beginning to laugh, he wondered if he was losing his mind, but when the person he attempted to kiss began laughing too, he was relieved to see that they lost their mind too.
