Here is the first installment!

Danny's POV
It had been three months since my sister, Jenn's wedding. Things have been going great with Tricia and me. She started beauty school last month and she loves it. We spend every spare moment together. I have been working for Lance, Marty's dad, for a couple of months now. When we can force Marty and Jenn out of their love nest, gross, we have barbeques and generally just chill out and spend time together. Since my accident, I haven't been much on partying. At the very least, I would like to think that I learned something from losing my precious car and the scars that came along with it. The two things I used to go to parties for I can get at home; fun and girls. Although, now it's just one girl; my Tricia she is spunky, caring, and soft but with a mean streak a mile wide if you piss her off.
I had never met someone happier than Tricia's mom it's almost sickening. Literally, I have never seen the woman mad or upset at anything. Any time things go wrong she always makes some sort of remark; it will work out or it wasn't meant to be. She fell down a flight of stairs two weeks ago and broke her arm. All she had to say about it was now she didn't have to do dishes and then she laughed. The woman actually laughed, even though I knew she had to be in pain. Her dad is nice, but can be a little intimidating at times, especially when you are dating his baby girl.
Last week, I went to him to ask for his little girl's hand in marriage. He nearly made me shit myself with the mere look in his eye as he sat there staring me down. The man has to be every bit of 6'8" and built like a tank. He asked me if I was moving a little too fast. I told him no. It worked for my sister and Marty. Since my accident, my motto is life is too short to wait. Over the past two months, I have done some serious soul searching and I have to have that woman as my wife. So Paul, Tricia's dad, and I made a deal. He would grant his blessing so long as we waited until she was out of school.
So tonight, I was going to propose marriage to the only woman who has ever held my heart in the palm of her hand. That may sound sappy but the reality of it is that if she says no, she will basically crush any hope I have for the future. Yeah, not so sweet and sappy anymore is it. There is a new restaurant in town and she has been wanting to go but we never have had time. Tonight in front of probably half of the town, I am going to get down on one knee and put everything on the line.
