Lay Me Down (MxM)

~Update~

Hi all!
I know so many of you are waiting patiently on the next update, and I do promise it's coming.

But I'll have to be taking a hiatus following said update. I know this might feel sudden, and to be honest it is for me too, and I'm really sorry to have to make this decision, but let me explain why.

Currently LMD is sitting at a word count of over 170-180K words at the least, and it is not nearly even finished. That's already the length of a lengthy, complete novel, but it's not complete, that's the problem. I've realized that if I continue to write at the rate I am, and how I am, this book still won't be completed come next year (and I want to complete it!) My ultimate goal is to publish Lay Me Down on Kindle and a small batch of paper copies depending on demand.

In order to do this and finish this story that you all (and I) have come to love so much, it means that I need to go on a hiatus to do some very deep editing and organizing; and I may very well split the novel into three volumes depending. I know this will disappoint many who faithfully wait on me and the updates. However, I promise that I WILL be returning with this novel (an even better written and updated version that is likely further along in the plot than it is currently when I come back from my hiatus) and I'll be able to then start to move toward publishing on KU once completed.

I will leave LMD up during my hiatus so that you guys may re-read and comment at your leisure (I never mind your comments I love the comment spam and hearing from my readers).

In the interim, I will continue to update my one-shot collection (they're like novelettes really), so, if you enjoy my writing and want to keep reading my work, you may find more there. I also plan to write short scenes of Jae and Lucas, fluff or NSFW stuff and such while on hiatus for ya'll to enjoy, so that you don't have to go so long without hearing from the guys. 🥹 If you want to get updates on the bisexual one-shot collection characters (the current fav is Marcus & Gid), subscribe so you'll get notified.

I plan to write some non-canon NSFW content as well while on hiatus; pairings and ships ya'll have wanted to see happen between characters in LMD, as well as work on finally getting my patreon really up and moving. So I certainly won't be gone; I'm still very much here and active, but for the sake of finishing this story and doing it right, I really need to go back and reorganize my novel and cut out unnecessary words, info, etc. My writing skill and style has changed drastically over the past year, so there's much to do on my part with the old chapters in this novel.

I hope you all can understand. I know I'm probably gonna lose readers because of this, but I think it's what's best for Jae & Luca's story so that I can complete it and give them the ending they deserve! And the published copies for people to enjoy. 💙🙏
