I'm SO sorry this isn't a chapter update but, as I continue to edit behind the scenes (while trying not to drown in life or have a menty b 🥴), I was wondering if now's a good time to be posting an AU/non-canon one-shot of some spice and fluffy slice of life content between the MC's of LMD.

While LMD isn't a poly story, Jae is the type of daddy who's totally open to threesomes, so, that said, Imma open a poll here and let the readers decide which character's gonna play with the guys. I may be open to writing a foursome depending on demand; if you want a fourth character included please vote and then comment below the fourth character you'd like to see included. I'll write the combo that is in highest demand.

My hectic personal life aside, I really wanna do a fun piece to cheer myself up and give my readers a taste of the boys again—all the sweet, spicy and happy slice of life fluffy vibes— a fun mental escape for us all. Thank you again for the continued support and love in the comments from everyone, and I also thoroughly enjoy all the comments I see from new readers and OG readers alike.

You guys are awesome and even if you don't hear from me I am reading the comments and smiling. I try to respond when I can. Also? Wattpad sucks and it's doing this thing where people will comment and when I click the notification to see what they commented on so I can respond, Wattpad will take me to a blank comment section and say "there's nothing here!" 💀 So, no clue what that's about, but then again Wattpad loves to be glitchy as well.

I'll also add, that literally for fun because why not, if you guys wanna request something kinda wild like Jae & Luca x one of the guys from Dirty Little Secrets, I would be open to writing that. Ofc it'd be a Non-canon just for fun piece... but! fun fact is that Lay Me Down technically exists within the same universe as Gid and Marcus's story. Giddy and Mar are kinky little shits if you've read their story, so who knows, maybe they've run into Jae and Luca at SubSpace? *chuckles maniacally* I'll call any votes including them wildcards.

BTW: If you're looking to read some of my work in interim, feel free to also check out Dirty Little Secrets if you've not yet. It's def a different vibe than LMD, but has some very steamy content, but also explores deeply (no pun intended Lolol) emotional themes, like of identity/self-worth, second chances, grief, regret, and finding love along the way when one least expects it. (It does include themes of mental health topics and some discussion of substance abuse, just FYI, trigger warnings always listed before every chapter in which there is sensitive or explicit content.

Yes, I've been working behind the scenes, and I know everyone is missing this story and so am I. trust me when I say that despite my silence here, LMD will not be abandoned. I love this story so much and its characters; if I don't finish it I'll lose my mind. 😭

Health update: as I'm sure ya'll have figured, our lives have not become less hectic these days, it feels even more so the opposite and day to day feels like trying to stay afloat. The youngest has had increasing medical problems and we will need to be flying cross-country to get specialized care. It's a big process alone to get that set up (so I'm in the midst of that) and I feel like I'm drowning there too. I'm also scared, but hopeful, also anxious. Can't even think about the financial implications of it right now, except that we have to do this to give our LO the quality of life they deserve. I'm finally also going to get a med infusion I've been having to fight insurance for over 6 months now that will hopefully make a huge difference in my autoimmune disease. 🙏😭 Fingers crossed.
