Hey guys in this one-shot it will be a coffee shop AU. Lucy will be the lovely waitress and Zancrow will be a regular customer who happens to have the biggest crush on her.

Why do I keep punishing myself like this?

Every single Friday night for the past 6 weeks his two friends Ultear and Melody have been dragging himself to the same little café down the street, and its all for the same reason.

They want him to talk to the cute waitress.

He wants to talk to her too, but everytine he works up the tiniest bit of courage...he chickens out. Which leads to his two friends laughing at him.

But in his defence he has a good reason for why he chicken outs, it's because he always thinks that she is too damn good for him.

Yeah she was beautiful, golden hair, the most beautiful chocolate coloured eyes and that gorgeous smile she gives him when he orders the same thing as last week.

But this particular visit to the coffee shop was different from his last.

"For heaven's sake Zan would you please just talk to her already it's been six weeks, six weeks!"

Zancrow frowned at Ultears remark and sent her a glare but that led to her chuckling.

"What am I supposed to say "I think your cute would you go out with me?""

"Thats exactly what you should say" Meredy shouted.

"Guys I don't think that I could-" " But before Zancrow could finish a voice Interupted him.

"Hello welcome to Fiore café would you like to order" the gentle voice said.

Zancrow knew that voice all too well.

Looking behind him he saw the beautiful Barista who's name is Lucy according to her name tag. Zancrows heart felt like it was doing jumping jacks just by the sight of her.

"Erm...Yeah I'd like to order a small latte with extra cream and...are your chocolate muffins nice?" Ultear spoke up. Zancrow didn't know how she would just talk to someone that pretty wichout fainting.

"Yeah I do reccomend the chocolate , it's actually on sale today since I made so many" Lucy said with a small giggle at the end.

That laugh...

"Wait! You make the muffins?" Meredy questioned.

"Yeah they're freshly made everyday"

"Then we will take six of your muffins since you made them, I will have my latte with cream. Meredy will have a black coffee and Zancrow will have..." Ultear said then looked at him.

The table fell silent and Zancrow didn't know why.

Was he asked something? Maybe he should have listened.

A tap on his shoulder brought him out of his thoughts and Lucy was standing in front of him, ready to take his order. "What would like to drink Mr Zancrow?"

"I-um..." He coughed "I guess I'll have a h-hot chocolate" he said not taking his eyes off her. He could hear the giggling of his two friends beside him but he didn't care at the moment, because he realised that he really needs to get Lucy's number.

And this time he won't back down.

"Okay I'll be back in a few minutes and thanks for buying the muffins"

"Its no problem"

With that Lucy walked off and that left Zancrow and his two friends who exploaded with laughter.

"Hey what's so funny" Zancrow growled.

"Ah~ you are so smitten" Meredy said wiping a tear from her eye.

"Smitten?"

"Yeah you are sooooo a smitten kitten" Ultear giggled.

"I am n-"

"Meow"

Zan row huffed and shrunk into his seat leaving his two friends mocking him and meowing at him Which earned them some weird glances from an elderly couple in the booth across from theirs.

"Guys would you stop acting like children and start acting like grown ups here. Like Ultear you are a teacher and Meredy your engaged."

"Oh congratulations on your engagement" a voice said behind them. Zancrow Turned around to once again the beautiful barista and this time a faint blush was on her cheeks. She has a tray of muffins and three drinks on the tray. And I think the receipt too.

"Why thanks Lucy" Meredy said while taking her black coffee from the tray, and two muffins.

"Whens the wedding?" Lucy said while handing Ultear her latte and two muffins.

"This time next month actually...and wow this coffee is amazing!"

"Thanks so whose the lucky man?" Lucy said. She made eye contact with Zancrow as she gave him a small smile as she handed him his two muffins, she also placed his hot chocolate onto the booths table.

Zancrow looked down at his hot chcolate to see something that made his mind fuzzle, on his hot chocolate was a design,

"His name is Lyon he is a painter and-"

"I know him! He is Gray's brother isn't he?"

"You know Gray?"

"Yeah he is my best friends boyfriend , Natsu-" Lucy said while grinning.

"Lu-chan get back to work for Mokarov will be angry" a small girl with blue hair said.

"Woops sorry, anyways thank for getting those muffins. And dont forget the receipt!"

"Okay goodbye"

"Bye lucy" Zancrow said while watching her go over to another table.

"Oh my God Zancrow she is so nice, you better ask her out soon before I do" Ultear exclaimed.

Zancrow huffed and looked down at he heart on his hot chocolate. Did she mean to do that? Or did she did that on every person's hot chocolate?

A small ding went off and Meredy gasped while looking down at her phone." Guys we have to go there's something wrong with my wedding dress"

"Okay, Zan you pay the bill cause we gotta run!" Ultear said while sprinting out the door along with Meredy.

Zancrow looked down at the bill seeing that is was €8 and underneath was a set of numbers.

Zancrow looked down at the paper in disbelief. Quickly Zancrow looked over his shoulder to see Lucy already looking at him, a smirk on her face.

Zancrows jaw dropped to the floor as the barista winked at him and turned around talking to that blue haired girl.

Zancrow blushed and headed out the door. He was definitely calling her later.

Bonus

Well everything clearly worked out for everyone.

Meredy is now Meredy Vasita, she is now a married couple who is now expecting a baby girl, and Zancrow had a date to the wedding but I think you already know who he brought.
