The gates rattled tediously whilst lowered heads opened them without question but understanding. He heard the click of closure behind him as he welcomed the endless staircase above, the one he had endeavoured too many times for him to remember. This was not suffering but solitude, everything stood singular, alone, untouched yet perfectly and persistently maintained.

There in the emptiness of the temple lay his love, he found himself visiting her consistently over the years, after he first few months the glass was replaced with stone. Here he could only image her body and he touch, talk to her as if she was listening and ideally sit beside her in the hunger of the cold.

Today marked six years since Odessa Tove's death, six years since he lost absolutely everything.

Dark Vader kneeled beside her coffin like he always did, clicking off his helmet and ripping off his gloves. He placed his palm on the cold material "Forgive me my love for what I must do."

Obi-Wan Kenobi was like a father to his wife, a solace in her pain and suffering from the failures and tragedy's her own blood had caused her. But he had outrun his time, why did he deserve to live and she not, after all he had failed her, and he was traitor "My devils still torment me, they haunt me, influence me, anger me, drive me to do such things that you would despise. I am a bad man, Odessa. Now I am still entrapped with the guilt of my sins that I can no longer repay."

He imagined her smile, it was genuine, soft yet standing. Her hair, the beauty spot which laced the top of her lip. Anakin Skywalker was a descent of his own madness "He must die- only after that have I truly avenged you."

"Go on my love's- blow them out."

Odessa Tove eyed the scene in front of her with wide joyful eyes, they almost swelled with tears that threatened to spill. She couldn't dare cry whilst her children were fighting over blowing out the very candles she had placed. There they sat, slightly nudging one another to reach the flames, six years of age and another year older. She couldn't believe time had slipped from her grasp that fast.

It felt like only yesterday that she was naming them after the initial surprise of not only being gifted with one, but two children. Her partners in the cruel world which she had been left in. Her purpose, her hope.

She smiled widely whilst she heard Obi-Wan laugh lowly beside her "Together both of you- let's now quarrel over candles again please."

Luke and Leia glanced at each other before simultaneously blowing the flame out in a quick swift breath. It disappeared instantly as quickly as it once lit moments ago.
