••• "So, how many of you would like to tell us the value?"

I looked around the classroom eyeing the morons who weren't paying attention.

"Okay, how many of you actually know the value..?"

Yet again, nobody raised their hand.

"Do any of you even know what the definition of value is..?"

I raised my hand.

"Yes Mrs. Jacob?"

"Uhm.. Well the value is what the variable is worth." I sighed.

She smiled. "Yes exactly. Thank you Harley."

I faintly smiled then burrowed back in my hoodie.

I felt someone tap my back so I looked up.

He pulled my hair behind my ear and whispered, "you come back from almost a month of hiding  just to do what? Hide? You can't hide anything. You know I know everything Harley."

I started to fall back into my seat.

"Who said I was hiding Brendon?" I whispered nervously.

I could feel a warm gust of air near the sweet spot on my neck. "If you aren't hiding, what are you doing?"

I answered sharply. "Trying to avoid you Brendon."

I could hear the way he curled his lips into a smirk. And gently kissed the one spot on my neck that sent shivers down my spine. "You aren't really doing a great job of it.."

The bell rang and everyone started to exit the room. "Just leave me alone."

I grabbed my bag and tried to quickly walk out the door when I felt him firmly grab my arm.

"It isn't that easy for me to avoid you darling.."

He let go and walked away running his hands through his hair.

I held my arm, trying to ease the pain.
And hold back the tears.
