Chapter Ten "The Chosen One"

Chapter Ten: The one to lay contact with every species in the Galaxy...

I still couldn't believe it. That's why probably didn't die, but they killed a whole planet. A planet where I had friends.

'W..why did you attack the Colony?" I asked frightened.

The man looked at me and said: "Because the Humans of planet Earth settled on a planet... a planet in the middle of evolution. In the next billion years that will come, the planet will be inhabitated with bipedal sentient creatures. Creatures that evolved from the local wildlife. Humans disrupted that."

I began to understand all the questions I had. I would actually be responsible for a planet that has been destroyed by species where I seemed to belong to.

"But why didn't you warn us?"

"We did, many times, but they wouldn't listen. We actually saved Humanity much from disasters out of space. Once we tried to lay contact to them. That was 30 Earth years ago on the planet Dedontera. Instead of peace, we got shot. We did not get rid of that at all, but we warned them. This was one of our warnings."

I read about that on Dedontera. An unidentified spacecraft approached the planet, but got destroyed by the U.H.A.B.C. Armada. I felt really sorry for them.

"It is not your fault, you are not officialy a Human, but we cannot judge every Human." He said.

"Well, thank you for telling that, uhm...."

"You can call me Totoanquitl, Emperor of the Cartagian Empire."

I actually giggled a bit about those names. They sounded weird in my ears, and they sounded like the Aztec names. The man looked to me and smiled.

"I want to tell you about your history." Totoanquitl said. He gestured me to sit down in a chair. He sat down in a chair in front of me. 

"As I already said, you are Caranad Soheqyk. You are the Qutozes, and much people worship you because you are the one to bind all galaxy species together. Not much after your birth, we gave you to a Human family that has a good reputation with us and you. You got raised like a Human, you thought you were a Human, and you thought that Earth was your home planet. At the age of 14 Earth years, we wanted to prepare you for your task."

"But... but how can I succeed with that task in my lifetime?"

"Simply, Cartagians can reach an age of 5024 Earth years."
