Chapter Four: I did not believe it
Connor's POV.
I was shocked, when I heard it the message that Anderson had. I visited Dester once, but I did not really like it at all. But I was really hopeless, and afraid too. I knew this unknown entity would head here, and would destroy everything we built up. Sergeant Anderson showed me pictures not long after, made by the Fortune. The whole planet was being shot with green stuff, I think it was some kind of plasma. Nobody would ever have survived that.
I saw Her as well. The last time I've seen her was years ago. Keely George. She had really grown up, because I knew her when she still was little, and now as a teenager. She was very interested in art then. She drew much, and also drew once something for me when I left. It was a drawing of a rocket, going from earth to another planet. Above the rocket was my name. Connor Adams, so I hung the drawing in my room at the station.
I was really frightened by now. I didn't want to die, but I knew I my chances of survival were nihil. Dester did not survive the attack, so we wouldn't either. "How much available troops have we got here?" Anderson asked. Everyone was silent, till an officer came to us. "We've got 60 troopers at the moment..." he said. Anderson was shocked. Dester had plenty of troops, because I heard there were 6000 troopers stationed. That's a thousand times more then here.
