Chapter Eleven "The Others..."

Chapter 11: Waiting for 2 days...

I was in the black tunnel again, with a white light that became bigger and bigger, until I was sucked in it again...

I don't know if I was still in that room, or on Saarlen IV. I felt myself wet. A warm breeze of air stroke my face. My vision was blurred but someone called for me. I became clear to me: when I was in that room, I lost consciousness on Saarlen IV.

"Keely! Keely please stand up!" The woman said to me. I remembered her name again: Catherine.

I moved my arm to the ground, doing the same with my other arm. I tried to stand up but I lost balance and fell in the mud. It was raining, and we were somewhere in the forests of Saarlen IV. I spit out the dirty water and tried to stand up again, this time with succes. I wiped the mud from my clothes and my skin, and then looked to Catherine.

"How long was I out?"

"Apparently 10 minutes I guess..."

The same time as I was in that room. They told me as last thing that I should wait 2 days until I would get picked up by the Cartagians.

"I think we should find a shelter, in the Colony. Those things were actually beamed up in the sky 5 minutes ago." Catherine said.

"I think so too, and we might look for any survivors." I said.

"Yes, my plan was actually to wait for help at Ranger Station Echo, in the Persuvian forest."

I nodded that I agreed with it, and together we walked to ruined Colony.

Everything was ruined, buildings were destroyed or heavily damaged, and you could see bodies everywhere. Catherine walked toward a guard and looted his body. She picked up a rifle, a pistol and some munition.

"You should do the same..." She said to me.

"Do you know how to use a weapon?"

"Yes, every person that joins the UHA Militairy get a weapon training, no matter what position you have."

I walked to another dead guard and looted from his body. A few moments later, I was armed with a rifle, a pistol, some munition and a bullet-proof jacket.

"Why do we need these things actually?" I asked. 

She looked to me, with an unpleasant look.

"The Colony is destroyed by unknown forces. Nobody has to know it, some systems in the UHA cover everything up. So they will come down to a planet... and eliminate every withnesses."
