So, this is just to clear up some misconceptions, confusing details, uncertain meanings that have gone on throughout the story so far.

OKAY

SO

here's a list of some things that might help you better understand the story.

#1 : these lycans, werewolves-- whatever you'd like to call them-- do not have a "wolf" conscience, pressence, or personality. They have what's called  instinct.  This "instinct" controls their primal actions, and influences them to do animal-like or wolf-like things.

Like a wolf, dominance is the penical of the pack's social structure. The dominance you exert or have over the other wolves shows which position you are on the wolf hierarchy (social ladder). (this will all be further explained latter in the story.)

Another thing is mating. Their instinct influences them on how, when, and what to choose when it comes to a mate. As a wolf, the more dominant you are or the higher position you have in the pack, the more attractive you appear to the opposite sex. Just how evolution and nature rolls.

#2 : Mates. Wolves in this book do not have predestined, pre-determined soul mates made by the moon goddess, Artemis, the wolf god, the wolf queen, blah, blah, blah. No soul mates. nada. non.

#3 : Mating. There comes a time in every wolf's life where they go through the instinctual enlightening of the "birds and the bees".  ;) Males get driven into a frenzy about the same time females go into season (something similar to heat). Mating instincts are driven even crazier because they are technically half-human, half-wolf. Like humans, who have an insatiable sex drive (you all know it) and can have sex (mate) at any time and place once they've passed sexual maturity, they're horny mother fs.

Nova has an exceptionally powerful scent while she's in her season. (no one knows why). And therefore, she is a target to any non-mated male because her scent is intoxicating. Even more dominant wolves, who should be able to resist her scent find it very difficult.

#4 : Alphas. Alphas aren't your typical werewolf story Alphas. They're big, they're scarred, and yes, some of them ARE mean. But they're more. They lead the pack, correct and discipline any out-of-line wolves. Wolves who are part of the pack look up to them for guidence, to learn, and to lead them. Alphas are not blood-chosen. (all of this will be explained I swear)

#5 : Nova is a very uncertain, very unstable girl. Her character development will progress in time, but I'm only on the fifth chapter. hold ur horses

by the end of the book you'll love her or hate her

it's up to you
