bite me

"Enough!" The masculine voice had both Amren and I flattening our bodies to the ground and rolling onto our backs to show our stomachs.

A burly figure crunched through the debris on the ground and approached us. I peered up at him as he hovered over us, meeting each of our eyes as we showed him ultimate submission. I flinched back when he reached down and tugged us both up by our scruffs.

F*ck, just what I needed, a run-in with the Alpha male.

Naveed was a man in his mid-to-late thirties, a man dominant and intimidating enough to take over Alpha position and keep it for a solid six years. He had three children; though, one of them had died in infancy last year. Currently, as he loomed over them he was boasting a quite long scruff of beard and his hair was tied back loosely with a leather band, keeping his shoulder length hair out of his face.  His eyes were cold, and betrayed no sympathy for my plight, of which he had been informed of by my father.

"What do you two think you're doing? Fighting like dogs." He shook us once and I felt like urinating in fear. If there was one guy to be scared of in the pack, it was Naveed. He'd crush you till you were the lowest of the low and you had no fight left.

"I'd expect better of the both of you. Even if you are struggling with your... current situation." He gave me a pointed look and I tried to look anywhere but in his eyes. God, now I knew how Ear felt when I'd grabbed his neck earlier. Speaking of Ear... where was that little runt now? Probably run off.

A sudden squeal had me twisting in Naveed's grip and looking behind us. I was suprised to see Ear in an equal situation as us, except with one of the more dominant male wolves in the pack kneeling on him, his knee digging into Ear's wounded neck. As he whimpered in pain, our eyes connected and I felt his plea to help him. I guiltily looked away and back up at Naveed, who was also watching the situation.

When Ear whimpered again and began struggling as the male pressed harder into him, I began to whine, a pitiful plea with the Alpha to help him. He glanced down at me with a scowl before looking back up at the two.

He sighed, "Dieji, let him up."

The man didn't let up, in fact he pressed even harder into Ear's neck.

"Dieji, I said, 'let him up'!" Naveed growled, taking a step towards them and dragging Amren and I's body along with him. But it grabbed Dieji's attention and he reluctantly lifted himself from the small wolf, who slunk away to lick his wounds further in the bushes. Saddly, this meant Dieji's attention was now focused on me, and I now knew why.

His nostrils were flaring and his eyes were eyeing Amren and Naveed like competition.

Naveed seemed to reach the same conclusion because he took an intimidation step forward, slightly in front of me. "Dieji... back down."

Dieji's eyes snapped up to the Alpha's, and he seemed to gain some composure from his threatening stare. Thank God for the Alpha, or else I'd have been quite screwed. He shook himself out and looked at the ground, looking slightly ashamed.

"Pass me a pair of sweats, and your shirt." Dieji looked up at the Alpha, bewildered but compliable as he silently tossed Naveed the clothes. I felt his hand clench around my scruff as he brought my attention back up to him. "Now Nova, I want you to change and than get dressed and come see me at Newport Hall, okay?"

I gave him my best whine and he gave me the clothes to carry in my mouth. He let go of my scruff and I eagerly jumped away, turning back to give a curious look at Amren, who was still encased in the Alpha's firm grip. I watched him for a minute before Naveed cleared his throat and gave me a pointed look to obey his orders.
