Chapter 14

Shaun moved out of the couch slowly and gently not wanting to wake Vicky up. He let out a small sound as he twisted his back. He picked the clothes scattered on the floor and placed them on the couch opposite to where Vicky was sleeping. He quickly made his way to the toilet.

"Are you done?" Devon stood up to get a glass of water from the fridge. "Yep! I'm done." Ashley smiled to him not taking her eyes away from the man looking outside as he scratch his back. "Wanna go somewhere?" Devon asked still looking outside of the window.

Ash looked at his brother who's also looking at her. "Can I?" She asked her brother as she gathers the plate to put it on the sink. "Don't you have anywhere else you need to go to?" David said in a questioning tone then Ash froze.

"Vicky, shit!" She muttered to herself.

"Princess, wake up." Shaun kissed Vicky's forehead as he came back and slide back to Vicky's side gently scooping her closely to him. Vicky groaned and nuzzled closer to him. "5 more minutes babe." she muttured burying her face to his side without even opening her eyes.

Shaun chuckled and kissed the top of her head, she inhaled his scent playing around her nose. "So I'm your babe now, hmmm?" he said with a smirk playing on his lips. Vicky quickly opened her eyes in shock.

"What the-!"

Devon stepped on the gas and roared his car's engine a few times before turning it off. "Are you sure you don't need a ride home or go to somewhere else?" He asked his girl sitting beside him. Ashley tilted her head to the side. "Why?"

Devon chuckled. "Why you ask?" He said feeling amused. "To make it up to you. What else could be the reason?" Ash remained silent, she started to play with her hands.

Devon saw the uneasiness in her face so he grabbed her hand and gave it a squeez and said, "Just text me if ever you need me, ok?" He looked at her for sec before continuing, "but promise me one thing-" she flinched which caused him to frown then sighed. "Baby-" he felt hopeless again and released a sigh. "Just let me make it up to you, ok?"

Ashley nodded her head lightly, "Sorry." She bit her lips, he saw it. Devon moved his head closer wanting to kiss her but Ashley looked at him with eyes saying 'What are you doing?'. He felt guilty so he kissed her cheeks intead. "Take care", he said as he rested his head on the the crook of her neck.

"I love you Ash" He whispered to her as he inhaled her scent. As soon as he released his breath he pushed the door on Ash's side open and Ash was taken aback in shock.

"Take care baby" He said and showed a forced smile holding back the pain wanting to break through his face.

"Thank you." Ash stepped down from the car. "And Devon?", she mumbled. Devon was still holding the car door when he looked at Ashley. "Yes baby?" He asked.

"See you later." She smiled and Devon cant help it but to smile too. "See you later baby. Take care" and with that he drove off.

Ash sighed, "Ok, now let's deal with this Vicky problem we have on hand." She walked towards Vicky's house then rang the door bell a few times and yelled, "Bitchy Vic! Are you there?"
