Can't Get Over You

Chapter 18

"Have't you had enough, the three of you I mean?" Mr Barnes interrupted scene. Victoria and Shaun immediately broke free from each other while everyone else snapped their eyes towards the teacher.

"Love triangle at the first day of school? That'll be awkward. Just make sure that that won't hinder you guys from studying. And I don't want to see the three of you failing my class especially you, Ms Payne." He smile and nodded to Vicky.

She looked down to avert everyone's glances suddenly feeling embarrassed by what happened and she started  to play with her fingers. Mr Barnes saw her uneasiness so he cleared his throat and said, "That's enough, get back to your seats and in a few minutes I'll start with some of my few reminders about my class."

He walked to his table then settled his things down as everyone else in the class returned to their seats leaving Shaun, Vicky and Nash still frozen in thei positions.

Vicky was the one who moved first, she tugged Shaun's shirt and he swiftly grabbed her by the waist then led her to the seat vacant beside her. Nash saw them and it broke his heart into million pieces. He tried to ignore it but pain was too oblivious in his face. He clenched his fist, closed his eyes for a second then breathe before he slowly returned to his seat.

Mr. Barnes cleared his throat once again said, "Good to know that you three decided to end it this time, just not in my class, ok?" the three of them nodded in response.

"So back to what I'm saying. I--" He was interrupted with a knock on the door. "Great timing." He rolled his eyes and we all giggled erasing the tensed atmosphere inside the room.

"Chapter 1, short quiz tomorrow. Dismissed." He gathered all his things and left the room. As soon the door closed the students jumped in joy. Some of them hurriedly ran out of the room, some stayed back to chat while others decided to read a book.

And then there's the three of them-- Shaun, Vicky and Nash still sitting in utter silence. Vicky pulled out her phone then texted the girls telling them that the class was cancelled.

Shaun scooted his seat closer to Vicky then poked her to her side, she jolted from her seat. "Shaun! Dont!" she hissed covering her sides with her hands. "Don't poke me I'm ticklish there."

Shaun paused for a minute, looking amused while Vicky was glaring at her. She was already threatening him with her glares but it didn't stopped him.

He slowly moved his hands then tickled the life out of her. "Sha--", Vicky was trying to muffle her laugh to hide it from others, "Sto... it! ... can't br..." She pleaded.

Shaun was laughing and is surely having fun they lasted a few more minutes before he stopped but still continued to laugh. "Mean! Why are you laughing?" Vicky managed to say without stopping to gasp for some air.

Vicky got pissed so she started hitting him but it looked like he was just being tickled. "You're crazy, Shaun." Victoria said as she hit him for the last time then she smiled at the laughing lad.

"Finally," he exhaled. He pulled Vicky in a tight hug before he whispered to her ears, "I like you more when you smile,". She smiled at the thought then slowly hug him in return.

You should smile more often. Everytime I see you its either you got you poker face on or you got a frown plastered on your beautiful face." He added.

She giggled to his ears and she felt him burried his face on the crook of his neck then inhaled her scent. Vicky was stunned to move by his actions.

They were interrupted when someone cleared his throat. Vicky jumped out of suprised then looked the the man who was sent by the heavens to stop Shaun from what he was doing and found Nash glaring at Shaun. "I need to talk to her." he said then pulled Vicky by her hands and dragged her out of the room.

"Nash, wait!" she said trying to stop him but he didn't budge a little, he continued to walk amidst the students scattered across the hallway.

"Don't pull me Nash! It's embarrassing." And with that he went on a full halt, Vicky bumped her nose to his chest. "Ouch" she winced while rubbing her nose.

Vicky stared at his chest and Shaun followed the direction and found a lipstick stain on his white shirt, he smirked. "That's not how you put a kiss mark on someone Victoria." Vicky shrudded when he spoke in her ears.

"Gross!" she pushed her but he caught her hands. "Come and I'll show you how." seriousness governed his eyes then he resumed to walk with her struggling to keep up with him as he drag her behind him.
