Josh and I left our tent together, he walked close to me, which made me feel more comfortable. We heard the campfire where Melissa, Cat, Dylan and Jack sat. Jacob was also there but he was sitting away from everyone with his head down. Everyone stopped and stared as I came closer. Melissa immediately got up and ran over to me, wrapping her arms around my waist in a tight hug.

"I'm so glad you're okay." She said happily. I hugged her back.

"Me too." I said. Cat came up to me and gave me a comforting hug.

"We missed you." She smiled. I sat down by the fire with everyone else, Jacob hadn't moved from his spot on the ground isolated from everyone else. It was really easy to pretend he wasn't there. Josh sat next to me, so close that our knees just about touched. Cat and Dylan sat on the other side of me.

"You know... Maybe this plane crash wasn't such a bad thing after all." Josh said as if he had been deep in thought.

"What do you mean?" Jack asked.

"Well.. We would have never gotten to meet eachother. I mean think about it, before this we were all strangers. None of us knew eachother, we would have never bonded the way we are now." Josh looked straight at me as he said this, but I refused to meet his gaze.

"I completely agree. I'm actually sort of happy the plane crashed... Besides the fact that a bunch of people died..." Melissa added.

"Do you think they're still looking?" Cat asked sadly.

"Of course! And they won't stop until they find the remains of the plane. They're probably just looking in all the wrong places." Jack said wisely.

"I wonder if there are other survivors..." I said in a flat tone.

"Maybe... But that would be unlikely, I mean we probably would have run into them by now." Cat pointed out.

"Maybe not... I mean maybe they're just running different circles than us." Jack said, hope in his voice.

"It's possible.." Josh trailed off. Jacob had remained quiet the whole conversation, not making eye contact with anyone or making any form of contact for that matter. I stared at him, wondering what he was thinking about if he felt any sort of guilt for what he did. I couldn't tear my eyes off of him, i had so many questions for him, questions that I was too chicken to ask. I wanted to know why, why the hell would he even consider doing something like that. Suddenly I was intrigued, I wanted to understand exactly what was going through his mind. Josh caught me staring at him and took it as a sign of discomfort. But the truth was, I wasn't uncomfortable. I knew he wouldn't try anything with everyone here, I felt completely comfortable. I was curious. Josh wrapped his arm around my waist, and leaned his head in close to my ear.

"Are you alright?" He whispered into my ear. I nodded my head.

"Do you want to go for a walk or something?" He asked softly. I looked over at him and smiled.

"That sounds nice." I answered. We both stood up.

"We'll be back." Josh said as he lead me toward to water. We put our feet in the shallow part, just deep enough to reach our ankles. I took his hand in mine and leaned my head on his shoulder as we walked. The sun was hot on my skin and the smell of the ocean filled my lungs.

"How're you feeling?" Josh asked.

"I'm fine. I really don't want to talk about what happened. Can we please just talk about anything else, I'm tired of thinking about it." I sighed. Josh was silent for a moment.

"Do you know what I miss?" Josh asked.

"What?"

"Shots. And boy could I use one right now." Josh laughed softly. I laughed along.

"I would love a shot right now... Or two... Or ten." I sighed. He let go of my hand and stopped walking. His arms wove around my waist an he looked down at me.

"I think I'm going to miss you more once we get off this island." Josh sighed, he leaned his face in towards mine. I turned away from him.

"Josh..." I said softly.

"I'm sorry... I just... I love you Quinn." The words came out of his mouth like music.

"Josh I have a boyfriend... I've been faithful to him for so long.." I trailed off. Josh was quiet.

"I understand.. But you can't tell me there isn't something between us." He said, hope thick in his voice. I was silent. I knew for a fact that there was something between us. Him telling me he loved me put a handful of butterflies in my stomach. I wanted to tell him I loved him back but it just felt wrong. I needed a friend and a friend was all I could handle at this point, I didn't want Josh jopito hurt Josh, and I didn't want to lose him as a friend.

"Josh.. I need a friend, can you please just be that for me I don't think I can handle anything else without going insane." I felt tears fill my eyes. Josh lifted my chin up so I was looking at him again.

"I'm here for you, I'm not going to stop being your friend." He pulled me into a hug that I so desperately needed. I wrapped my arms around him tightly, a feeling of comfort and happiness filled my body.
