"We should bring these to Jack so he can tie them up away from camp and other animals." Cat said as she picked up the shirt full of berries.
"Good idea." I agreed.
"Actually maybe you should go see how Josh and Dylan are doing. I can take these to Jack." Cat suggested. I nodded in agreement and started heading towards the beach. I was about halfway there when I heard a voice behind me.
"Quinn." Said a creepy familiar voice. I jumped at the sound of it, turned around and saw Jacob staring at me.
"Jacob get away from me." I warned.
"Oh chill, do you really think I would do anything to you with the others so nearby?!" He scoffed.
"I don't want to talk to you." I said as I turned to leave. He grabbed my wrist, preventing me from going anywhere.
"Let g-" I began to say but a deeper, more angry voice overpowered mine.
"Don't you dare fucking touch her with your filthy hands." Joshs voice rang. Jacobs grip only tightened, as if he was challenging Josh, testing his patients.
"or what, lover boy?" He teased. Josh had Dylan in his hands, who seemed to be just as frozen with fear as I was.
"Let go of her Jacob." Josh said through gritted teeth.
"Or what? You'll send the baby after me?" Jacob laughed. I tried to wiggle my hand away but his grip only tightened. His grip got so tight it was painful.
"Ow Jacob stop, please this hurts." I begged. Jacob ignored me. Josh set Dylan on the ground, before coming angrily toward Jacob with a closed fist. Jacob let go of my wrist and held his arms up in surrender before Josh could touch him. Dylan was crying on the ground now, obviously horrified at the scene that played out in front of him. I ran toward the child the minute my hand was free. I lifted him off the ground and held him close to me, soothing him.
"Next time you dare to even fucking breathe the same air as her, I will fucking end you. Don't even think about coming near her." Josh threatened. I held Dylan close to me holding his head against my chest and rocking back and forth in a soothing motion. Josh came up to me, placing his hand on my back and led me toward the fire. His body was shaking with anger. We neared the fire where Cat and Jack stood. Josh rushed over to Cat, his teeth clenched in anger.
"Why would you leave her alone with him?! What on earth were you thinking Cat?! What on earth was going through your mind?!" He yelled at her. Cat looked confused.
"Josh calm down, what are you talking about?" She asked calmly.
"Jacob had her by the wrist! You left her alone and Jacob almost got to her again!" Josh yelled. Dylan began to cry again. Cat ignored Josh and took Dylan from me.
"We are all nearby, Quinn is in no danger, she is free to go wherever she pleases. She doesn't need a body guard." Cat pointed out.
"What if something happened to her?! What if he took her again?!" Josh yelled. This angered me. How could he talk about me as if I wasn't even there.
"Josh I don't need a god damn babysitter! You were right there, cat and Jack were nearby as well. Jacob was just trying to get in your head. I'm fine!" I yelled at him. Josh got quiet. "Next time you want to yell at someone, yell at me! None of this is their fault." I said bitterly. Josh looked down at the ground as if I was his mother scolding him. I sighed in frustration before angrily walking toward my tent. Josh was acting insane, and I was tired of being treated like a rebellious teenager who needed to be watched at all times. I heard Jack tell Josh to leave me alone for awhile, and I mentally thanked him for it. I needed to be away from Josh for awhile. I knew he was only trying to protect me, I knew that he was just scared that something would happen again but I couldn't believe the way he was acting. Yelling at the others would not do any good. I got into the tent and sat cross legged on the floor. I took a few deep breaths in, calming myself down. After a few moments of sitting there my eyes started to droop. I lay down instead and soon fell asleep.

"Quinn, wake up." Joshs voice rang through my sleeping mind. I opened one eye and look up at him. I rubbed my eyes before sitting up."How was your nap?" Josh chuckled.
"Oh my goodness, I didn't mean to fall asleep." I laughed softly.
"Hey I'm sorry about earlier.." Josh said sounding embarrassed.
"It's okay, I understand you're just worried. I just don't see why you let Jacob get in your head like that. He's trying to anger you." I sighed.
"I know that... I just don't want to see you get hurt. It just freaked me out I guess." He admitted.
"Maybe you should apologize to Cat instead." I pointed out. "She got the worst end of that rage."
"I already have, millions of times. She's very forgiving." Josh grinned.
