I heard the familiar sound of birds chirping and the waves crashing onto shore. I looked over to see Quinn still asleep beside me. She had wrapped herself up in the blanket I had given her and I chuckled to myself. I knew she was cold. She suddenly stirred and I heard her yawn before rolling over and looking at me.

"Good morning." I smiled. She blushed slightly. But my goodness did she ever look cute.

I stared into his blue eyes and felt myself get lost for a moment. I knew I shouldn't be falling for him, I mean I have a boyfriend! But yet here I was, falling faster than ever before... I pushed that thought from my mind. I knew Josh didn't like me and I was wasting my time by even thinking that he might. I have a boyfriend and he's in a band and could probably get any girl he wanted. He grinned widely and said good morning, giving me butterflies.

"Good morning." I said back.

"How're you feeling?" He asked.

"I'm... I'm okay." I said with a sigh.

"Do you want to come out and find some food?" Josh asked.

"I kind of just want to stay here for a bit if that's okay.." I trailed off. I still didn't feel ready to face the others. I didn't want to have their sympathy and i definently didn't want to see Jacobs face.

"Alright.." He sighed. "I'll bring you something to eat.." He muttered as he left the tent. I felt sadness overtake my entire body as he left. I had no energy to go out and see anyone, in fact I had no energy to do anything at all. I lay on the ground with my knees brought up to my chest. Tears softly ran down my cheeks as flashbacks from the night with Jacob rolled through my mind. I felt dirty and ashamed.
I could hear movement from outside my tent, and soft voices speaking. I listened in harder,

"She wants to be alone right now, give her some time." I heard Josh say.

"Josh she needs friends, she needs to know that we're here for her. I want to make sure she's alright." I heard Cats voice say.

"We all want to do that! But the fact of the matter is she's not alright! None of us are! We're stranded out here with no guarantee that we'll be rescued. She just happens to have it worse by being stranded with her own personal devil sent straight from hell." Josh's voice sounded frustrated.

"I understand that this is hard on everyone, but we can't isolate ourselves. We need eachother, she needs us." Cats soft motherly voice was soothing.

"I know that, but that's not what she wants, give her time." Josh pleaded.

"Alright... But please, I know you have feelings for her, you'll do whatever it takes to make her happy. But you also must think of what's best for her." Cat said softly and kindly. Josh was quiet for a moment.

"There are no feelings. She has a boyfriend, remember?" He said with a hint of frustration in his voice.

"The fact that she has a boyfriend doesn't mean you can't have feelings for her, I see it in the way you talk about her." Cat said, I could hear the smile in her voice. Josh was silent. "You should get back to her, the poor girl is probably starving."

"Yeah.. I'll update you guys on how she's doing later." He said kindly.

"Thank you."

I felt my heart skip a few beats as the conversation I had just overheard sunk into my mind. Josh likes me? Oh no. Josh can't like me, this changes everything. I felt as if a million pounds was just dropped onto my shoulders. I had to promise myself this right now, nothing would happen between Josh and I. I was not going to be a cheater.
I heard Josh come into the tent carrying a small piece of fish and some berries.

"It's not much, but it's better than nothing." Josh smiled at me as he handed me the food. I took it from him and nibbled on a berry.

"How're you feeling?" Josh asked. I shrugged.

"Fine I guess."

"The others want to see you. They miss you." Josh said.

"I can't go out there... I jus-" I stopped as a waterfall of tears started to fall from my eyes. Josh quickly wrapped me in his arms and held me close.

"Quinn it's okay, I'm not going to force you to. I understand that this is hard and probably really embarrassing but it's not your fault. Cat, Jack, Dylan and even Melissa really miss you. You're family to them." Josh soothed.

"But what about Jacob? I'm going to have to face him everyday, I'm going to have to treat him like family when all I want to do is tie 20 pounds to his ankle and drop him in the ocean." I sobbed, leaving tear marks on Josh's shirt.

"No you don't. Jacob is not aloud anywhere near you. He's strictly here because we're not cruel enough to send him out on his own. He's here to help with our survival and that is it." Josh rubbed Circles on my back. I pulled away from Josh so I could look in his eyes.

"If I come out to see everyone, you have to promise me something." I said.

"Anything."

"Don't you dare leave my side."

"Wouldn't even think about it."
