The sun was shining in my face, and the heat was the main factor in me waking up. I groaned, and opened my eyes slowly. When I opened my eyes I saw that Josh's face was only inches away from mine and our bodies were very close together. I quickly sat up, accidentally spraying sand all over Josh's face when I made my quick movement. He woke up and started coughing.
"What the hell?" He groaned as he sat up as well.
"Sorry, you startled me." I covered my face with my hands to hide my blush. Josh sat up as well, looking out into the ocean.
"Well I guess I can't complain about the view."
"Agreed. Reminds me of being at home." I sighed.
"Where's Cat?" Josh asked, looking around. Cat and her son Dylan were nowhere in sight.
"Cat?" I called out. There was no reply. I got up off the sand and walked towards the trees.
"Do you think they headed back to the plane?" I wondered.
"I don't see why they wouldn't have woken us up first.."
"Maybe she woke up and had a panic attack or something." I said, trying to make sense of the situation.
"You guys are finally awake!" I heard a voice say from behind a large tropical looking tree. Cat came walking out from behind the tree, smiling with her son in her arms.
"Where were you?" Josh asked.
"Dylan was thirsty, so I went searching for fresh water." She said.
"Did you find any?" I asked. Cats face looked disappointed as soon as I said it.
"No."
"Maybe we should go back to the plane then, maybe we can find something that hasn't been completely destroyed." Josh suggested.
"That's probably a good idea." Cat agreed. Josh nodded, then ushered for Cat to lead the way. She began to walk ahead of us before suddenly stopping to look at me.
"Would you mind holding him? My back doesn't feel right, I think I pulled a muscle at some point last night." She asked.
"Yeah! Of course I will." I grabbed Dylan out of her arms and he did not fuss nor protest. She continued to walk ahead of us with me in the middle and Josh followed closely behind us. The walk seemed to take forever until finally after about 45 minutes of walking we finally reached the plane. The site of it made us all gasp. it was a complete wreck, some of it was burnt and ruined while others was torn to shreds by the impact of the crash.
"Wait out here with Dylan, I'm going to see if I can find any useable resources." Cat said to me.
"I'm coming." Josh stated. Cat nodded in agreement and they both walked toward it, leaving me behind.
"Mom?" Dylan panicked when he realized he could not see where his mom went.
"She'll be back hun, for now you get to chill with me." I sighed. The young child looked at me with a blank expression, his mouth hung open slightly and his big blue eyes stared at me in curiosity.
"Up!" He demanded as he stretched his arms up. I placed my hands under his arms and lifted him up, letting him sit on my hip.
"Who's there?!" A voice said from the bushes across from me and Dylan.
"Hello?" I called back. Then emerged a middle aged man, with short brown hair and a mustache. He look relieved when he saw me, and soon a boy who looked to be no more than 20 came out of the bushes, followed by a teenaged girl.
"Who are you?" Said the man.
"Quinn, I'm guessing you guys came from this horrid plane crash as well?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. They all nodded.
"I'm Jack." The man said in a soft voice. The man looked exhausted.
"I'm Jacob." Said the boy behind him as he gave me a smile and shook my hand. He looked at me with attentive eyes, it creeped me out a bit, making me want to cover my face and hide from him.

"Who's the little one?" Jacob asked.
"His name's Dylan and he's not mine. My friends went back to the plane to see if they could find anything useful." I said softly. I looked over at the teenaged girl who couldn't have been older than 16.
"Who are you?" I asked her.
"Melissa." She shrugged, as if she wanted nothing to do with me.
"You aren't injured are you?" Jack asked me suddenly.
"No, I'm fine thank god." I sighed.
"Good. lucky for all of us I'm a doctor." He smiled. Soon Josh and Cat came back, both their faces looked surprised as they noticed the new additions to our group. Cat took Dylan out of my arms and hugged him close. Josh held armloads of things with a smug look on his face.
"This is Josh and Cat." I said simply. They both smiled as we introduced ourselves all over again.

"Wait are you Josh Ramsay?! Like THE Josh Ramsay?!" Melissa asked as her eyes widened in shock. Josh looked a bit irritated.

"Yeah that would be me." He groaned.

"Oh my god! I'm like a huge fan!"

"Great." Josh said sarcastically.

"I can't believe I'm stranded here with Josh freaking Ramsay." She squealed.

"Okay, well as much as you would love to mob him or whatever fangirls do let's find somewhere to set up camp. we might be here awhile." I reasoned. Melissa gave me a dirty look.

"Whatever." She crossed her arms over her chest.

"Let's find somewhere on high ground, and if anyone needs medical attention I took all the first aid supplies from the plane that weren't already destroyed." Jack said. We headed back towards the way Josh cat Dylan and I were before with Jack leading the way. I stayed close to Josh, our little talk late the previous night had me trusting him a bit more.

I was only human and most humans like to be around familiar things. Well being stranded on an unfamiliar island with unfamiliar people would be enough to make anyone crack. I didn't know any of the other people around me. Josh was the one whom I felt more familiarized with, so staying close to him helped me feel a bit more stable. Close behind Josh and I was Melissa, following him like a shadow.

"So josh, how hard was it to write Pop 101?" She asked in adoration.

"Not as hard as you think." Josh mumbled. He sounded annoyed.

"Are you still dating Amanda? I heard rumors that you guys broke up." She rambled on and on until I had also had enough.

"Look Melissa, Josh has enough on his mind right now than to be attacked by fangirls. I know you're excited but please, give the poor guy some space." I said as softly as I could. Josh looked at me with a look that said 'thank you'. I was surprised josh hadn't already told Melissa to leave him alone. Melissa stared at me with devil eyes.

"Ugh, whatever." She groaned.
