Chapter 13

At first i was surprised at Michael's actions, I was tense and confused. But the more Michael kissed me, the more I relaxed and the kiss deepened. My body relaxed and I sunk into the kiss. My arms latched theirselves around Michael's neck, my hands exploring his colourful tresses, carefully tugging on the ends. His arms wrapped around my waist and he pulled me closer.

He made me feel special again. He made me feel wanted again. He made me feel the way Ashton once did. But this time, it was different. I knew this was real. I knew Michael felt for me.

I pulled away, his lips swollen, plump and pink. I looked into his eyes and smiled, the butterflies in my stomach recognisable. "Thanks" he smirked.
I rolled my eyes.
"Your the one who kissed me!" I chuckled. He laughed before walking me to my car.
"That was so unpredictable Lila. Just like us."
"I know Michael, we'll have to do this again sometime. Maybe on Saturday? I'm free all day." I smiled.
"Yeah sure, come by my place at 12."
"Sure. Bye Michael, I'll call you."
"Bye Lila."

My phone started vibrating in my pocket. The caller ID said it was Luke.
"Hey Luke." I said.
"Lila where are you?" shit.
Me and Luke were meant to go to the movies at 7:30 and it's now 8pm! What was I meant to say?
"Er sorry I'm late Luke, me and your arch enemy have just had coffee and I ate his face basically, so sorry for the inconvenience." 
"Lila?" He questioned.
"Shit sorry Luke, I-I got kept back by Joe, he er, he had a new order come in.." I trailed off.
"Lila you were meant to be picked up at 7:30." He sighed.
" I know, I know. Sorry Luke, come back at 8:30, I'll be ready I promise."
"Okay. But make sure your ready Lila! Bye."
"Bye." I said.

I sped home, got in the shower and quickly got dressed. I put on a ATL band tee and my black ripped skinnies with my old vans. I let my hair fall in loose waves and applied light make-up touches to my face.

I waited for Luke, I was nervous because I felt like I should tell him about mine and Michael's kiss before he finds out by someone else.

There was a knock at the door, as I opened it I was greeted by a confused Luke.
"Where were you?" He chuckled.
"I'll explain in the car." I smiled.
I locked up my house and then Luke escorted us to his car.

"So where were you then Lila?" He quizzed.
"Before I tell you that. I need to tell you something. Something you might not want to hear, but I think it's best you know the truth." I said nervously.
"Tell me then." He replied, intrigued.
"Well today, Michael came in the store-"
"Lila I don't want to talk about hi-"
"Luke just listen to me!" I demanded.
He shut his mouth to listen.
"Michael came in, and I asked him to wait for me so I could give him a ride, so I could ask him about Zara. He told me things, things about Zara and how sly she was. When you used to leave, she used to touch Michael and make him uncomfortable. She used to whisper in his ear and stuff. But Michael didn't tell you because he didn't want to lose you."
"But Lila, I don't care about this. Michael had SEX with her. Do you understand why I don't speak to him?" he stated.
"Wait Luke there's more." I said softly.
"When you were away, Zara got Michael drunk and took advantage of him. She manipulated him and they had sex. He had no clue what was happening. But Zara twisted the story and said it was him, when it wasn't. And I believe him. When Michael went to Australia it was to get away from HER. She was crazy! She followed him there, but he turned her away and now she has a new boyfriend." I smiled, sympathetically.
"But Lila.. I-I don't know what to believe anymore." Luke was sad, his eyes were red and tears stung his eyes.
"I want you to meet up with Michael and talk to him in person, and work things out. He thinks this is a good idea."
"I don't know Lila. We haven't spoke in ages." He said.
"Trust me Luke. It's the right thing to do."
He nodded.

"So where were you?" He asked.
"I was with Michael. I went to his house for coffee, and we- we kissed..." I said quietly.
"What did you say?" He asked, confused.
"We kissed Luke." I didn't dare look at him.
"Lila. How could you?"
