Miro didn't push anything further. She decided to leave right after Aliah declined her phone call. She's driving without even thinking about her destination.

Maybe she needs some air or maybe more than that. She doesn't know exactly what she's feeling right now. But one she's sure of? She's in pain again because of her.

After an hour of driving, Miro parked her car. She finds herself sitting on the swing at the playground.

As she sat on the swing, gently swaying back and forth, Miro felt a sense of familiarity. It's been so long since the last time she went here yet, the memories of laughter and carefree days lingered.

"Lord" her voice almost crack as she lift her head to look at the sky.

"Why do people I love keep on breaking my heart? Nagmamahal lang naman ako diba? Halos maubos na lahat ng para sa sarili ko pero talo pa rin." She felt a lump on her throat. She bite her lower lip to prevent her sobs to come out but failed.
She can't stop herself from crying.

"I-It hurts..." She grip tightly on her pants.

Tears are flowing...

Shoulders are shaking...

Sobs keep on coming...

Her heart is surely bleeding

"B-bakit mo ba ako nilalagay sa ganitong sitwasyon? Sinubukan mo kung kaya ko?" The pain laced with her voice is too evedient.

"Am I not worthy enough of her love para hayaan niyang nasasaktan ako?"

"Ano pa bang hindi ko nagagawa para lang malaman niyang mahal na mahal ko siya?"

"ANO PA BA?! UBOS NA UBOS NA NGA AKO! WALA NA NGA AKONG ITINIRA SA SARILI KO! BAKIT LORD?"

Her voice echoes around. The silence followed.

"Ikaw kasi hindi mo pa ako pinili, umiiyak ka tuloy ngayon."

Miro froze when she heard that voice. She slowly lift her gaze to look at her. Then, there she is standing not so far from her. Having that familiar smile, hopeless smile.

"M-miezy." She stutter.

"Hi?" Miezy raised her right hand a wave at her. Slowly, Miezy walk to sat on the swing beside Miro.

Miro's eyes remain fixed on Miezy, her mind can't seem to process the fact that this person she's trying to avoid suddenly appears.

The words from Miezy felt so sharp that it keeps echoing in her mind with pain.  Miro had been trying to keep it hidden, buried deeply from the past.

Miro felt a lot of emotion that she couldn't tell — surprise, confusion, and a hint of longing.

She was not expecting anything from Miezy,  not when their last encounter didn't end very well.

Even though Miezy's smile is familiar there's a sense of unfamiliarity.

"Hindi na ako galit, wala na rin akong sama ng loob. I realized that I really can't force you to fix what we had. Because there's nothing to fix about us. There is something in the middle of nothing, I guess." Miezy smiled sadly as she gently swayed the swing. Miro, on the other hand keeps her eyes on the ground unable to look at her.

"Umaasa ako...kasi you made me feel that there was a chance for us."

Flashback

"Jens any plans for tonight?" Miezy asked, they are on their way to the parking lot.

"Hindi ko pa alam, baka kasi may family dinner kami."  Jens replied.

"Oh." Miezy nodded.

"How about Miro?"  She added. Jens turned to her as she shook her head.

"Sure akong umiinom na naman yun." Jens sigh.

"I will pick her up then."  Miezy smiled.

"You're supposed to celebrate tonight because you passed the exam. Hindi para maging driver niya." Jens shook her head in disbelief. Miezy just chuckled at her.

"Ewan ko sayo." Jens rolled her eyes at her.

"Oh pano? Mauna na ako ah." Miezy spoke when they reached the parking lot.

"Ingat ka." Jens smiles as she gets in the car and Miezy does the same thing.

Miezy drove to the Blue Label where Miro usually spends her night. She walked inside the bar and roamed her eyes to look for her. She immediately spotted her.

"Hey." Miezy said as soon as she approached her.

Miro looked at her with unexplainable stares.

"What are you doing here?" Miro asked.

"I want to spend time with you. Hindi ba pwedeng yun? Bestfriends naman tayo ah?" Miezy replied and sat beside her.

Miro opened a bottle for her.

"Don't drink too much okay?" The softness of her voice made Miezy smile.

"Okay boss." She chuckled.

They are now at the car, Miezy's car.

"B-bukas mo na lang kunin yung car mo."
Miezy said. Miro looked at her.

They are probably both drunk because they can't seem to think straight that night. Miro leans closer to Miezy.

•••

"You've kiss me that night." Miezy said, it keeps on flashing on her mind.

"I was.." Miro, unsure what to say.

"drunk?" Miezy asked and chuckled with bitterness.

"That's why the next morning I saw you with other woman?" Miezy asked.

Maybe this is the conversation that they needed to close what they left behind.

"I was confused that time. I don't want to lose you, but I still did.

I-I was in love with you but I don't want to ruin our friendship." Miro felt the tear flowing down on her cheeks.

"was?" Miezy laugh as she stood from the swing.

"Huwag mo na nga akong bigyan ng dahilan para masaktan. Gusto ko lang malaman mo na ayaw kong nakikita kang nagkakaganyan. Kasi alam ko ang pakiramdam Miro. Because that's exactly what you made me feel." Miezy smiled at her.

"Sana dumating yung time na hindi mo na kailangan tanungin si Lord kung may kulang pa ba." Miezy walk away. Miro cover her face with both of her palm as she cries.
