Chapter 2

Phil's POV

I was in a white room.

Without doors and windows.

On a chair.

I tried to move my arms, but the ropes around my wrists immediately cut in my flesh. I opened my mouth to scream for help, but no words came. Soon, panic took over and I felt a warm tear escape my eye. Then, I heard breathing. It was only now I noticed the figure standing in the corner of the room, its back turned to me. I opened my mouth in order to ask what was going on, but my voice still wouldn't work. The figure turned around slowly.

It was Dan.

But this Dan looked even worse than normal.

Dark circles adorned his chocolate brown eyes, and he began to walk towards me, very slowly and very threatening.

His hand reached for his back pocket and he pulled out some yellow post-its and a marker.

He scribbled something down on a sticky note, not breaking eye contact with me, and pulled of the note. He was now standing in front of me, and I was literally terrified. His hand reached up and he stuck the post-it on my chest. I looked down to see what he had written down.

'Worthless'

He scribbled down another word, and placed the note next to the other one.

'Ugly'

Tears were flowing down my cheeks now, and silent sobs escaped my mouth every so often. He did nothing about it, and continued to write down words.

'Fat'

'Gay'

'Useless'

'No one likes you'

'Kill yourself'

'Crybaby'

The insults kept coming, and Dan didn't stop until my entire body was covered in nasty words and sentences. He then looked me in the eyes, and said:

"You know that no one cares about you, don't you? Because you are a dirty faggot and you are fat, ugly and worthless."

He laughed quietly.

"No one likes you, Phil. And you know why? Because you shouldn't even be alive."

I still couldn't say anything, so instead, I lowered my head and continued crying.

Dan, in return, threw his fist at my face, and then kicked against my leg. I tried to cry out, but no sound came. He laughed, and everything turned to darkness.

Then I woke up with a start.
