Severus's POV
"And you just now brought that up!? Isn't this slightly important to you!? Your memories are coming back! Yes! Finally!" Lacie's tone was everywhere...
"Uh, yeah... Sorry," Allyson looked at me, her eyes as pink as her cheeks.
"So what do you remember?" I asked.
I listened tentatively she launched into the bits and pieces she remembered of her lifetimes. Much of it was sad, but there were other times when her eyes when she absolutely beamed. She lived, and she died. She loved, and she lost. She had married a dozen men, and that was only the ones she'd remembered so far. She used magic(k). She had children.
"And in 1010 B.C.-"
"B.C!?" I exclaimed.
"Yeah. I don't look that old, right?" she decided to morph into an old woman at that moment.
Lacie snorted with laughter.
"Of course not, love. You age wonderfully," I said with a cocky smirk.
"Now listen here, young'un," Allyson waved a wrinkled finger at me.
I chuckled, "Yes?"
"I don't know. I just wanted to say that." she said, morphing back into herself.
"You are something, Allyson."
"So are you." she whispered provocatively.
"Stop it! Weirdos. Get a room!" Lacie wrinkled her nose, but her eyes were sparkling with laughter.
We talked for about an hour after that, and then we all went and got dressed. When I came out, Allyson was sitting on the couch. She was wearing a black corset with rainbow splatters and a matching skirt. Her eyes were rainbow colored with heart shaped pupils, and her eyeliner was rainbow as well. Everything was rainbow.
"Allyson. You're very colorful today," I said.
"Yep. I discovered that I can change my eyes if I want to, but they'll still show my emotions when it changes. Like, if I was embarrassed, they'd flash pink, but then change back to my rainbow awesomeness."
"Interesting. Now, shall we go to breakfast, my dear?"
"I think we shall," she said, placing a soft kiss on my lips, melting my stone heart instantly.
"I'll say it again; get a room!"
Allyson's POV
*Flashback*
"Who are you?"
"I am you're truest enemy," a dark, feminine voice shook my very being.
"Who are you?"
"Who am I?"
"Yes," this voice was frightened, small, weak.
"I am-"
"Allyson?" Severus shook me awake.
"Severus?" I looked up into his concerned eyes.
I was sitting between Severus and Minerva, Lacie was down the table a few seats, next to Potter. No one moved or spoke a word.
"Allyson, are you alright?" he asked, the worry in his eyes leaking into his voice.
"Yeah. Just intense flashback," the sound that escaped my throat was more like a croak than anything else. There were tears streaming down my face that I hadn't noticed before. I was sobbing. The memory was frightening. I wanted nothing more than for Severus to scoop me into his arms and hold me close.
Apparently sensing this, he pulled me onto his lap and stroked my hair, letting me cry into his shoulder. No one said anything when he stood and carried me out of the hall.
I could hear the thump, thump, thump, thumping of the heart in his chest as he walked swiftly down corridor after corridor. My eyes were closed, but I could feel him look down at me every few seconds. His warm embrace made me feel safe, his breathing a lullaby, slowly soothing my aching heart. His footsteps echoed through the dark dungeon walls like gunshots, disturbing the unnerving silence. My senses were full of him. Only him, in all his dark, glorious beauty.
When we arrived at his hidden door, he pulled his wand from his sleeve, still holding me up, and muttered the password, using his wand to open the door into his living room. He set me on the couch and walked out, leaving me alone. He returned after a moment with a big fluffy blanket under one arm and a steaming mug in his other hand. Sitting down beside me, he threw the blanket over the both of us. I crawled over his leg and sat down between his legs, so my head rested on his chest. Severus held the mug to my lips, the warm liquid sliding through my lips and down my throat like silk.
"What did you see that upset you so?" he asked after a while.
"I didn't see much of anything," I whispered, " it was what I heard that frightened me. There was a voice, a young sounding voice, that I had thought was mine. It asked "Who are you?" and a different voice, a dark, powerful voice responded. I snapped out of it before the memory finished, but, Severus, the small, scared voice, it wasn't mine. The frightening, dark voice was. I was powerful over someone, and they were scared of me. What was I doing? Did I hurt that person? I just don't know."
"It might not have been you, the dark voice."
"No, Severus, it was. I know it," my voice shook. I looked up into his eyes. I trembled against him.
"Shh... It's okay. That's not you anymore. You're okay." He went on like that until his voice grew raw, and he instead planted small kisses on my eyelids, forehead, jawline and lips. Finally, I drifted into sleep.
