That night, Severus and I fell into bed a tangle of limbs and robes. He was so adorable.
"Are you sure?" he had asked, looking me in my eyes, kneeling above me.
"Yes, I'm sure," I whispered. He kissed me fervently and smiled.
In the morning, I got up and take a shower. While I'm in, he wakes up, and decides to join me. Lets just say, that was a long shower.
When we were done, we made our way up to the Great Hall.
Suddenly, it hit me, "Where's Lacie?"

We searched the whole castle, to no prevail. She was nowhere to be found.
"Where haven't we looked?" I asked Severus.
"We've searched every room, every secret passage. She isn't in the castle."
"Well where is she?"
Allyson! Ally? Where are you?
Lacie?
Yes!
"Lacie!"
Lacie, where are you? I've been so worried!
I don't know. Someone grabbed me and drugged me or something. I can't see anything, it's so dark. There's shackles on my wrists and ankles. Ally, I think someone might be-
Might be what? I asked.
Nothing.
Lacie?
Nothing.
"She's gone. We have to find her. Severus," I whispered, wrapping him in my arms.
"I know, Ally, I know. We'll find her."
I wracked my mind for thoughts of where she could be for hours. Walking around the grounds and forest, trying to figure out who could have done this to her, with Severus always at my heels, Lupa too.
"I found it," I gasped, as a memory hit me like a ton of bricks. I turned to look into Severus's concerned eyes, and grabbed his hands. "I think I know where she might be."
We rushed to tell Minerva, and she told us to do whatever we needed to. We left the grounds on foot and then I mentally shared an image with him so he could apparate us out.
We arrived at the castle in an instant. The sight of it brought me to tears.
"I'm home," I whispered.
"Home?" Severus asked, "You lived here? When?"
"Not just me, you too. This was our home, Severus. And now it's abandoned to an evil force. Severus, we have to stop this."
Severus just nodded, and then started forward.
"Severus, no! There are protections. Wait." I walked a few feet forward, my hand held out in front of me. Suddenly, I hit a wall of dark energy, blocking my entrance. "Okay," I muttered. Placing both hands on the energy wall, I willed it to open, to crack and splinter. After a moment, it was gone.
"Okay," I said again, "it's okay now." I grasped Severus's hand and led him up the long drive to the front doors of our home.
"Stay quiet, I don't quite know what might await us if you don't," I warned.
"Alright," I heard his mental response. As we made our trek, I felt the air thicken with raw power.
"Who is it?" I wondered.
"I don't know, but we'll find Lacie and put everything back the way it's supposed to be. Maybe, we'll even take our castle back," Severus thought, hearing my own.
"It is our castle, isn't it? Our home. Let's take it back!"
The grand, ebony doors of my home glistened in the moonlight, bringing back memories of another time.
I took my wand out, and, with a spell, moved a large rock from where it stood by the stairs. Beneath it, was a long rectangular box. Inside, there was a sword. It had runes for protection and strength carved into it's silver handle.
I removed it from it's case, and handed it to Severus, who accepted it with a raised brow.
"Since there is no way I'd ever be able to convince you to stay here, I want you to take this. Your magic is strong, but it is not the same as what I have, or what Blàir has. The kind of magick we have is different from anything you have seen in this lifetime."
"Blàir. That is his name, then?" Severus asked after nodding.
"Yes, well, I think that's who has her. The magick here feels similar to his, but not quite the same. I can't describe it."
I step cautiously onto the steps, and walk to the doors. They are locked magickly, so I have to concentrate a little bit just to get them open. They open easily enough, though.
Step lightly, I thought.
I know.
We crept inside, walking slowly. I cast my senses out, and found two humans in the house. Well, more like one and a half...
The place reeked of mold and must, nothing like the spices and warmth that I remember. There used to be a warm glow, but it's gone dark now. This place, which used to be full of light and love, is now hollow and unfeeling.
I heard the sound of slow footsteps in a room down the hallway.
Thump, thump, thump, thump.
