Chapter 3

Niall's P.O.V.

We were in a part of the building we've never been before. We went to the last floor and went through security again which was weird cause we already went through it at the entrance but, we didn't complain.

Mr. Dents lead us to two silver double doors and let us in, revealing a conference room. There was a long wooden table in the center with three chairs on each side and one facing across each other. Mr. Winters sat at the far end with Professor Walsh sitting to his left.

"Good evening, Boys." He greeted us.

I toke the seat to his left with Liam next to me and Zayn next to him. Harry sat beside Professor Walsh, across from Liam as Louis sat next to Harry in front of Zayn.

"We're sorry for taking you guys out of school so early but, this seemed very urgent." Professor Walsh said.

"Wait, what's happening?" Louis asked but, from the looks on their faces even they didn't know.

A man in a black suit walked in with two other men by his side. The men who walked beside him closed the doors and stood in front of it as if they were guarding it.

The man in the middle sat down at the end of the table across from Mr. Winters and placed a file on the table in front of him. The man looked to be in his early 30's, his dirty blond hair stopped at his shoulders and his green eyes looked darker due to the poor lighting in here.

"Mr. Winters. Professor Walsh. Thank you so much for agreeing to have this meeting." The man said in an American accent.

"From what you said on the phone it sounded important. What is it James?"

James cleared his throat and looked at us.

"Boys... The United States of America needs your help." He said.

Now I'm even more confused.

"Three months ago, 4 teenage boys broke out of jail in Washington D.C."

He pulled a picture out showing a mugshot of a boy with short light brown hair and hazel eyes. He looked bored and his pupils looked bigger than normal.

"This is Ashton Irwin. He's pretty much the one calling the shots since he's the oldest." James said.

He picked up another mugshot of a boy with short green hair in a wild style. It looked like he had eyeliner on around his clear blueish, greenish eyes. He had a black eyebrow piercing on his right brow and you could see he had black small gauges in both ears.

"This is Michael Clifford who helped Ashton break these two out."

The first mugshot he held up was a picture of a blond boy with light blue eyes and a lip ring. The second one was a boy with tanner skin and dark brown eyes with jet black hair.

"Luke Hemmings and Calum Hood."

He set the pictures down.

"Now we don't have much information on them because they're orphans but, they're between ages 16 through 18. They've done a few crimes here and there which is why we only have mugshots of them." James said. "But 3 months ago... Something changed."

He placed the mugshots in a line and sighed.

"Somehow, we don't know how yet but... They developed these superpowers and from what we've seen, it's kind of similar to what you boys can do."

"What do you mean?" Liam asked.

"They can all fly like you. They can all run, jump and heal better than the average human but... From what we've seen."
