Chapter 33

Zayn's P.O.V

"What do you want me to do?" I asked Harry as the others walked over to the trees to be in the shade.

"First, call the shadows to you." He said, looking at the others.

"Shadows, come to me please." I said as a gush of wind blew in our faces, making our hair blow around.

One by one, in different sizes and shapes came an army of shadows, flying out of the trees to me. They swirled around my legs and waist like snakes, purring and hissing.

I looked over at the boys as they stared at me in awe, realizing that they've never seen them like this before.

"They'll need to feed before you can do anything." Harry said, moving closer to you. "But not a lot."

He took my hand, lifting it up with my palm up and in one quick motion, he made two cuts on my hand with his sharp nail. The shadows hissed, slithering up my hand to lick my blood before the cuts healed in seconds.

"More." They hissed.

"I'll give you more when we're done." I said.

One of them flew towards Harry, slithering up his leg to his hand, cuddling it.

"Block the sun."

"What?" I said, looking at him as he watched the shadow play with his fingers.

"Create a roof above us using them so it won't be so bright." He said. "It'll help you and Niall."

"Okay. I think I can do that." I said as I lifted up in the air, my shadows behind me like a cloak.

I flew higher until I was above the trees, flying over to a side of the clearing. I lifted my hands towards the trees, letting the shadows slither down my arms to the trees. They attached to them and stretched out creating a thick blanket.

"Stay." I told them as I floated back, slowly pulling the blanket of shadows over the clearing till I got to the end.

"Stay." I told them again as they hissed at me but, quieted down.

I flew around, petting the ones that seemed to be uncomfortable and they started to calm down, connecting themselves with each other, creating one solid thick roof.

"Good. Good job." I told them as they purred under my touch.

I flew back down to the ground, two of the shadows staying by my side as I realized how dark it was. I looked up, seeing the shadows staying in their place, making it appear that it was nighttime and the sun looked like the moon.

"It's a good thing they listen to you." Harry said.

I looked over at him, his eyes darker.

"We're going to need them."

He seemed to be talking to himself but, he quickly looked over at the other lads and called Liam over. Liam jogged over to us and stood in front of us.

"What do you want me to do?" Liam asked, excited.

"We going to try something with Zayn's mind tricks." Harry said. "All you have to do is stand here."

"Can do." Liam said, then looked at me. "Do your worst Zayn."

Blind him. Harry said in my head.

What do you mean?

Make it appear that he's gone blind.
