Mitch headed for his training, he still had 15 minutes to get there but he wanted to be there early. Once the boy finally found the large metal door that belonged to his training room, he pushed it open with a loud screech. There were four chairs set out in the otherwise empty room. The boy found a mirror and fixed his hair, placing back the pieces that had fallen out of place.
After wandering around for 10 minutes, he decided to take the chair to the far left. That is when others started coming in. First was Esther, second was Destiny, third was our teacher, and right as the bell rang entered Katelyn. All girls. That wasn't unusual, being a nurse was a woman's job in the Rezmence community. So Mitchell got many confused glances. He just shrugged them off.
Mrs. White looked around the room and asked "Does anyone know who our most to least threats in battle?" Everyone just sat back and waited for someone else to answer. So Mitch raised his hand.. Mrs. White raised an eyebrow. Probably questioning herself about the boy . "Alright Mitchell, go ahead."
Mitch took a deep breath in, scanning his brain for the answer. "Patron, faux, Entersoul then Trayer," the girls started giggling and whispering and of the words mitch caught were 'nerdy and gay'. Mitchell tried his hardest to play it off cool.
Mrs. White passed around two papers to each student. It was just review on medication and medical procedures. When she got to me she smiled ." Well done Mitchell. Alright I want this done by tomorrow. The warrior troops go out in two weeks for their first scout out. We are going to go with them. Just to make sure they keep it safe. You are all dismissed".
The dark haired boy mindlessly stumbled through the halls, reading his papers, not looking up until he got to his room. KirstIn wasn't there. He imagined that her training would be longer and harder than his. Kirstin's tasks are far more difficult and important, having to keep everyone safe and fight to be at the top and all. So the high pitched voiced boy sat on his bunk and began his work. Completing the first paper. The questions were easy for Mitchell, the types of medicine needed in different situations, how to tell when a warier is not worth your help and a few simple surgical procedures.
The second paper Mitchell just had to read over. It had all of the rules. Rules for the medical and battle strategy task group were as so:
1) Heal who you can heal (we need the warriors)
2) heal severally injured warriors on the field
3) If or when you see an enemy warrior, leave the wounded Rezmence behind
4) If you get captured, keep our secrets quiet
5) Follow all medical procedures by the book
6) If you need to battle, do what needs to be done.
Just as the boy finished reading the rules and started packing up the papers to bring back with him tomorrow, a blonde stumbled in and flopped onto Mitchell's bunk. She let out an exasperated huff and turned her head towards the boy. The darker haired boy raised his eyebrows as to ask her what the huff was all about. The fine framed girl said "My training is impossible, I had to fight all day long. Mostly big, toned guys. I won, but felt bad, they were so cute too!!!"
Mitchell nodded. "I hear you sister. There are only girls in my task group. There is no cute boys for me" That earned him a giggle from Kirstin. After a long pause the boy said, "So my teacher, mrs. White, told us that you guys are going out for a scout out. We are coming with you just in case."
"Yeah, so I heard. I am both very excited and very nervous, all at the same time!" Kirsten replied enthusiastically.
Mitchell hummed in agreement. Leaving the two in an awkward silence. The small girl stood up and climbed up onto her bunk and they both tried to take a nap before supper. He set an alarm for 5:45 for them both. Mitchell laid there thinking things over. All the bad things that could happen, that's when sleep overtook his body and all of the thoughts were dismissed. He dreamed, that night, of being an actuall full time member medical battle strategy task group. Saving lives and then he dreamed of nothing.

Mitchell woke to the sound of his alarm clock increasing in volume. He smacked it, missing many times before actually succeeding. He hopped up to his feet and nudged his roommate a few times before saying, "Come on girl, you don't wanna go to supper with your hair looking like that." That's when her eyes shot open and she jumped off of her bed to go get her brush. Meanwhile, the thin framed boy was finger combing his hair. Tugging and pulling at the dark strands until it was perfect. His hair parted perfectly down the middle. That is when the girl emerged from the bathroom. "Alright, let's go. Mitchell needs food."
They walked through the corridors until they made it to the dinning hall. The loud hum of indecipherable chatter with their friends. Once again the roommates parted their separate ways. The boy to his lonely table and the girl to her table of warriors. Left alone to think... again.
