Tori:

Just when I thought things were getting better. Just when I thought Henry and I were out, it all started crashing down in one moment.

One moment, I was using my quirk to mend a frog's leg slowly, and then Mrs. Shu came into the room with her hands shaking.

"You need to go, Tori." She says.

"But class doesn't let out for another twenty minutes, RG," I whine. "Just a few more tries?"

"Dearie, you don't understand, you need to go!" She grabs my arm and yanks me out of the health class.

"What? Are they kicking us out?" Yep, that was the worst thing I could think of then. "Please, no, Mrs. Shu, I know I can meet standards-"

But my teacher interrupts me with a solid shake when we're in the hall.

"Dearie, this isn't about your schooling. There was an attack, and your family was the target."

Everything that I've been doing stops mattering. My thoughts slow down as I look Mrs. Shu in the eyes.

"Your little sister and father are still being informed about what happened. There's this man who seems to be able to summon pillars of material to attack people. He targeted your mother. Your brother and mother are near the east wing-"

My body is in motion before my brain registers that she hasn't finished speaking. I run down the hall until I reach the school's east wing, doubling my speed to a sprint when I hear ambulances. It's like reality is blurring around me. She said Yukari and Hizashi had to be told what happened, which means they weren't there, which is good. But then that means Henry—Mom!

Tears are already pushing out of my eyes as I come to the glass on the east side of the building.

"Dearie! Please stop! Tori! The fight is still going!" I hear Mrs. Shu yelling behind me, but my mind can't slow down. Explosions start to become audible as I keep going. She's not kidding.

I see that blonde kid, Bakugo, fighting someone out the window. They're really going at it. Some of those explosions are making me shake clear up here, about five stories up!

I lift my head to see the wall next to me has a massive hole in it. Damn it- big brother! Please be safe!

I dash for the stairs.

As I keep running, I hear my teacher yelling to slow down. Finally, as I start jumping stairs, I hear her yell at a passing student. "You! Do you want to be a hero? Here's your chance. Tori is panicking. Chase her down so she doesn't faceplant down the stairs!"

I do start to trip as I head down the stairs, and- a pair of twisted horns move in under my arms and pull me into the air.

A blonde teenager runs up beside me and gives me a concerned look. "Hey, settle down. I've got you. What's wrong?"

"My mother and brother- they're in danger- I need to get to them- please!" I sputter out. The girl's eyes widen momentarily, but she talks to me calmly instead of rushing.

"Kiddo- I need specifics. Where are you trying to go?"

"Just put me down!" I practically scream, tears streaming down my face. My feet start swinging in the air as the pair of horns holding me up just pull me into the air so I can't touch the floor.

I throw up my arms and drop to the floor as another twisted horn slams into my chest, this time sideways, pinning me up against the railing of the stairwell.

"This is easy, kid," she says with a grin. I see two more twisted horns on her head, though she grabs my shoulders with her hands. "Calm down. Talk to me." She brushes a lock of my hair away from my eyes. Hey, c'mon. Wait... I know you, don't I? You're Henry's little sister and the nurse's assistant."
