Eliza's POV:
"Oh my gosh, he totally likes you!" Scarlett squealed on the phone as I pulled into the driveway from dropping off Aaron. "Is he going to ask you out?"
"Scar, number one, he doesn't even like me. Number two; he's an annoying conceded jerk with an ego the size of Texas. And number three, I only met him like Monday, so I don't really want to start a relationship with a boy that I just met," I huffed into the phone, closing the front door behind me and locking it. Safety first.
"Okay, I know, I'm sorry. But come on! He's freaking gorgeous and you're stunning! You two would have beautiful babies!" I choked on my saliva before letting out this horrible squeak. "Eliza?" Scarlett asked, "Eliza are you still alive?"
"I'm fine, I muttered onto the phone, walking slowly up the stairs that always creaked. "I just don't understand why you want me to date him! Sure, he's very...attractive, but you don't even know his personality or him for that matter! He could be a serial killer!" I walked into my bedroom and changed into a tank top and sweat pants, crashing on my bed.
Scarlett snorted, "right, there is no such thing as a sexy killer!"
"I can name a few!" I protested, snuggling under the blankets. "It's always the hot one, it's the one that you least expect!"
"Yeah, nobody suspects me in Mafia, they always think it's you and then it actually is me!" She laughed darkly into the phone, and I had an image of her rubbing her hands together methodically. "Everybody always assumes that it's you, maybe it's your strong personality."
"As if," I sighed, feeling my eyes close slowly.
"Did you hear what It said about him?" Scarlett asked giddily, and I know that she loves new gossip about It.
"No, I didn't. What is it? Did she lie and say that he asked her out?" I laughed.
"No! I heard some of her and her friends talking and she said that he could have him by the end of the month. She said, and I quote, 'that he will come running into my arms the moment that I tell him I want him.'"
I broke out into laughter, almost tearing with the giggle fit I was facing. It always says that she can have any guy that she wants because she is on the cheerleading team and that she can wrap a boy around her little manicured finger. It honestly has worked, I don't know how but it has. She has had -and I'm not even exaggerating- twenty five boyfriends in the past year. The past year! That means only last semester! That is ridiculous! I don't understand why boys always want to date her. She has the IQ of a peanut, she wears so much foundation that she looks orange, she wears so much makeup that I can't even tell if she's human or not, and she cheats on all of the boys that she's been with. Yet they all coming running to her because she has many cough talents cough that she can help them with. If you catch my drift. It's all about that, never about an actual relationship.
"That is too funny! I wonder what Caleb had to say on that one!" I chuckled.
"Oh, did you hear? She dumped him! Boom, right into the mud! Apparently, once she laid eyes on Aaron, she pulled out her phone and texted him that they were done."
Oh, Karma is so sweet.
"Serves him right," I beamed, struggling to keep my eyes open. "He had what was coming for him," I yawned.
"Yeah, that's true. Eliza Hayes! Are you yawning? Don't you dare fall asleep on me like that last time he had late night talks," I could hear her annoyance. The last time I fell asleep, you could hear my soft snores through Scarlett's phone. That was the day that I promised to stay up with her when she was home alone. I laugh at the thought.
