As I walked down my memory lane,
I came across the devil's high-
A sea swirling with high tides,
And a dark night sky.
All these scenes felt unreal until- Upon the blood-red moon,
my eyes fell.
There it hung low on the horizon,
Between the sea and the sky.
As I stood standing on the shore, Between my wrists tingling and my eyes sore,
The darkness grew more and more.
From my lips, a sigh escaped, And the moon bled red.
My mind flooded with pain, despair, grief, and rage.
The more the tides swirled toward me,
The more the moon bled through the sky's skin.
I stood still, unable to move,
And a warm, hot liquid trickled down my wrist.
The devil unleashed a storm then,
And the moon grew bigger and nearer.
The suffocation in my body made me numb,
As the sea drew me closer,
And my feet dragged me deeper- A flash of lightning occurred.
I woke up, startled,
In my tub full of red water.
But the blood-red moon shone still,
Watching me in silence from outside my bathroom sill.
