Zero's P.O.V(Aye!)
I sighed and rested my chin on my fisted hand, as Kat sat next to me. I was happy, when the teacher assigned her to sit beside me, I was glad to actually have someone who I liked sit next to me, but what I didn't understand was why I trusted Kat. It took Yuki years to make me break from my shell, but I only met Kat a few days ago and she already has me wrapped around her finger, even if she doesn't know it yet. I felt warm soft hands gently shake my shoulder, and I turned to see Kat looking at with a blank face, but in her eyes, I could see worry and amusement. "What?" Kat looked surprised at my rude tone, hell even I was surprised that my words came out so harshly.
Kat shrugged and leaned back in her seat, propping her feet up on her desk, surprisingly no one commented." I was just gonna ask if you wanted me to patrol alone today again." Kat said in a monotone voice, but I heard sadness etched in there. Ever since Kat's first day of school, she has been doing patrol for both Yuki and I, while we slept. How she did it, I don't know, and I didn't really care. As long as she is safe, and I get to sleep I'm fine.
My eyes softened and I sighed, while ruffling her hair a sign to show that I wasn't mad with her. "I'll patrol with you tonight."
Kat shrugged, "Fine by me, what ever floats your boat I guess." Kat then popped a random piece of pocky in to my mouth. "Just don't get grumpy or pick a fight with the nightclass." Kat said with mock seriousness. This was how we were, we joked around with each other and Kat always had to feed me candy, or something that she doesn't like, for example her vegetables, or even her leftovers.
I smirked, "Only if you don't try to kick Hanabusa's Ass." I challenged and Kat scowled.
"No promises then." She paused to roll her eyes." It's like he wants to get beat up sometimes." Kat smirked evilly and said,"Not that it's not fun to see the dumbass cry in pain."I smirked and ruffled her hair.
"That's my girl." I said softly, as she smiled up at me. Yes, Kat and I were already as close as two peas in a pod. We were like lifelong friends, meeting after a few years. The strangest thing was, I actually liked this feeling of ease and comfort I have when I'm around Kat. It's almost like.....

.........I'm home, and I loved that feeling, especially since it came from the one person who seemed to actually understand me. I mean, Yuki tries to understand, she tries to make me feel happy, but Kat....she doesn't try. She doesn't need to try. She does understand, and without even trying she make me happy, even with a tiny smirk, she brightens up my day.........
I really sound like a lovesick hippe now -_-(I personally have nothing against hippies.)
~Time skip~
Kat had her arms crossed over her chest, and I had one arm propped on one of Kat's shoulders, like a stool since she was shorter than me. We watched Yuki try to calm down the raging fangirls/boys, and I could tell Kat had on a smirk. "Should we help?" Kat asked without looking away from Yuki, I looked down at her and shrugged.
"Who cares?" I retaliated in boredom.
"Well Yuki will punch us, then lecture us on how we should and I quote,' Stop slacking off and do our job!'. I'm really not in the mood to listen to another one of her lectures." Kat said.
