This chapter shall be in Kaien's Third Person P.O.V

To start the day off, he would always brew a hot cup of tea. He would boil the water at exacly 96° for 4 minutes,so the water would be nice and hot even after he leaves it unattended for a few minutes.

After taking the hot water out of the seething hot kettle, he'd open his jar of tea packets and dipped the packet into the water and calmly watch the tea brew to perfetion, and enjoy his wonderful tea.Jasmine tea to be specific, imported from India. Kat's favorite tea.

There it was again, the very thought of her name. The very woman who made his soul and heart ache with yearning.

That's how he'd start his days, even before Kat was attending the academy. Kaien Cross was helplessly, unconditionally, and unfathomably in love with Katrina Tepes. She was his love, and it was his mistake for taking her for granite.

Kaien would always think about Kat. When he was doing paperwork, Kat came to mind. When he was drinking his tea, Kat came to mind. When he'd sit and stare in to open space, Kat would come to mind.

Ever since they were separated all those centuries ago, Kat would always be on his mind. She has invaded his mind more often now that she was within his reach. He found that whenever he was tried not to think about her, when he tried to ignore the fact that she was awake, alive and kicking, he loned to be by her side even more than ever before.

He tried so desperately to ignore the ache in his chest whenever he caught her socializing with Zero, chastising Kaname, or even arguing with Hanabusa, because then he'd feel like a love sick boy all over again. He pretended to ignore the way she affected him. The way her single dimpled smile caused his heart to skip a beat, the way her giggles tempted him to laugh along with her when he had no idea what was so amusing, the way her eyes would look at him with such intensity like she was staring through his very soul, judging him and his past faults, yet she was still be able to have love and warmth in her eyes while her soul piercing eyes looked at him, even after everything he has done to her, or the way she seemed to just be so damn perfect in his eyes, even when she would immensely fuck something up.

She was so close yet so far.

Kaien hated the fact that whenever they were alone, which was extremely rare, she would never indulge him with the euphoric feeling of hearing her beautiful melodic voice speaking to him in a tone so encased with love and unconditional admiration, the way she use to speak to him. He hated how she never told him anything that troubles her, he hated how they drifted apart over the centuries, and he absolutely abhorred the way Kat would glance at him, her mouth crinkling in disappointment ever so softly unseen to others but him, and then she'd look at anthing but his eyes, as if she'd catxhe the plague if he caught her staring at him.
