Told in Kat's P.O.V

The moon was so bright. It was illuminating the darkness in the sky, shining brighter than the constellations in the sky.

Kat remembered when she was little, how her father would sneak out the castle with her, trying to runaway from her mother and step mother's. He would take her out to the woods, carrying a blanket and the two would lay down and search for constellations, until dawn.

Tha stopped though when war was waged upon her country. Her father and elder brothers, as well as her uncles and cousins went to war, while the mothers were at home leisurely enjoying the pleasures of the royal life. Meanwhile, she was hidden, she secretly stayed with her father, an watched her older bother, Vlad become a monster.

During her short human life, Kat saw a total of 20 battles. Some small, some huge, but none of them compared to the war that even to this day haunted her.

She sighed and rubbed her forehead, tears threatening to fall from her heterochromic eyes. She hated what her brother had turned into. Hated what their father did to them.

Yet, she couldn't help but still love them. Her brother Vlad had fallen so deep into insanity, that he forsaken man kind, his forsaken god, and he forsaken their love. He turned into a blood thirsty, war lusting beast.

All because of their father.

Kat had a pretty fine childhood, but a fucked up upbringing, but her brothers had it worse.

Way worse.

She sighed and looked back up at th moon, it was a full moon. The same moon as that night.

She lived a long fruitful life, and she didn't regret any hoice she made. She didn't even regret falling in love with Kaien, but she did have one regret.

She regretted becoming her father's right handman.

The sound of horse hooves stomping on the ground echoed out in the dak forest. The full moon being the only source of light for the three riders.

The was one rider in the front, wearing a cloak, leading the other two riders behind her deeper into the forest. The other two me riders were male, and very handsome.

The male behind the leader was about 20 years old. He had long dark straight hair, that was pulled up in a ponytail, leaving two strands of hair to frame his face. Pale skin was covered by dark clothes and iron armor, his intense eyes which were such a dak brown that they looked black, were alert and set in a fierce glare. He carried a sword on his hip, and was holding a long spear in one hand, ready to engage with the enemy if need be.

The last male, who was at least 45, looked much like the younger man. He had longer black hair with pure white highlights and slight waves, his hair, muh like the younger warrior's was set up in a high ponytail, all of his hair brused back displaying his forehead glistening with sweat. He carried two swords on each of his hips, and he was currently holding a bow and arrow. Occasionally turning back, arrow perfectly aimed making sure that if their enemies appeared behind him, then they would die.
