Special Chapter
Kat's P.O.V
I've always believed that in order to live, you must have someone or something to motivate you to continue on.
I've always believed in this thought. I always thought that our friends and family are what make us enjoy breathing. In other words, companionship is what drives us away from insanity.
Companionship. It is what defines us; it is what drives us away from loneliness. Companionship is many things, it can be negative or it could be positive. My father would always tell my brothers and I,"As you waste your breathe complaining about life, someone out there is taking their last breathe." I won't deny it, my father wasn't the most loving of men, but he also wasn't the worst man in the world.
Or at least that was what I had thought.
"GET IN STRAIGHT LINES NOW!" Yuki yelled as the fan girls tried to jump the night class students, who were returning to their dorms. I sighed in exhaustion and put my hand to my head. 'Fuck. I wish they would all just shut the fuck up.'
"KYA!"
"MARRY ME WILD SEMPAI!"
"KISS ME SHIKI SEMPAI!"
"CAN I HAVE YOUR BABIES IDOL KUN!?" My eye was twitching and I growled.
"JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!" I yelled out at the fan girls," ALL FUCKING DAY LONG! KYA! KYA!" I imitated a girl fangasming and continued. "I'M FUCKING SICK AND TIRED OF IT! CAN'T YOU ALL JUST TAKE A HINT, GO TO YOUR DORMS, AND JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP!?" I growled, and surprisingly all the fan girls were quiet, and they ran to their dorms. Zero and the night class looked at me with wide eyes, while Yuki looked dazed. My eyebrows scrunched up together in confusion, but it was then that I realized, my aura was pulsating. MY TRUE AURA. Sighing I ruffled my hair, and made my aura go away." I'll take patrol tonight." I turned and just as I took a step into the direction of the woods, Yuki grabbed my shoulder. I looked at her from the corner of my eye.
"Kat, w-what was that just now?" Yuki asked in a tone that sounded fearful, but her face held admiration. I shrugged her hand off and turned my head to the side to see that the vampires who mesmerized, in a daze, even Kaname. My jaw clenched and my hands became fists. 'Of course they're in a trance. They just felt the aura of their 'mother', why wouldn't they be mesmerized by the immense power that was just pulsating from me.' My eyes widened and I looked down a bit.'KUSO! Kaname might figure out my identity! Fuck! I messed up!'
I realized that Yuki and the dazed vampires were waiting for my answer so I said," I have no idea what you're talking about." I began walking away, making the shadows obscure me from their view. I smirked. 'All will be revealed in due time, children.'
I never wanted to be born as a princess. I didn't want these responsibilities, if I'd known what it meant to be my father's right-hand man, then I wouldn't have bonded with him.
As a child, I was always taught to be respectful to my father, my brothers, to men regardless, since women were treated like shit back then, mere property, a breeder. Since I was the youngest and the only daughter, my father was a bit more lenient on me than he was with my brothers.
My father was the notorious prince of Wallachia, and a member of the Order of the Dragon, the order was originally founded to protect Christians in Europe, but it became corrupted, little by little. He tried to gain a treaty with the Sultan by letting my brothers Vlad and Radu live in his care, but the sultan also wanted to take me to be his bride. My father refused the sultans proposal for me, but he still gave up my brothers. A part of me was relieved that I wouldn't have to marry the sultan, but yet the other, more bigger half was worried for my older brothers. I regretted not taking their place, if I had then we all would have lived together in a peaceful eternity.
"Katrina." Startled, I turned to see the one person who has ever stood by me.
"Kaien." I greeted with a small smile. Kaien came to stand beside me, watching the sky filled with stars.
"Tell me Katrina," Kaien began and his glasses created a glare, so I couldn't read his expression."Do you plan on telling them your true identity?"
"I can't say." I began and twirled a rainbow lock of hair."Humans may never understand our species, you know that Kaien." I turned to look at him, and he stared straight ahead, knowing I was right, after all, the vampires are my children, and I did try to create a treaty with the humans, look where that got us at.
"But the two can co-exist together." Kaien muttered crossing his arms over his chest.
(A/N: Whoever gets these quotes are super awesome and might just get a dedicated chapter ;) Bye!)"Humans are nothing but the thread from which the dream of life is woven." I stated and I looked at him from the corner of my eye."Life and death come and go like marionettes dancing on a table. Once their strings are cut, they easily crumble." I turned my back to him and said," So tell me Kaien, how can the vampires who need the very liquid running through the veins of humans to survive, possibly ever get along with their prey? With one another? " I scoffed and began walking away slowly." I've tried Kaien. It won't get you anywhere in the end." I was just beyond the beginning of the woods when I whispered," After all, when a person is cursed, two graves are dug."
'Yes. History is much like an endless waltz. The three beats of war, peace, and revolution continue on forever.'
"There is happiness for those who accept their fate, for those who resist their fate, there is glory."
I was the only daughter of Princess Cneajna of Moldavia and Vlad II Dracul. I was the youngest member of the Tepes house. I was to be engaged to one of my brothers, I was the jewel of the House of Draculesti and the Danesti House. I am the Ancestress, I am the mother of the children of the night, I am Catalina Tepes, and I am the last of my family. The first and last of the original pureblood line.
