Fallon's Pov
I jerked awake, I reached up and wiped sweat from my brow. Another nightmare. They never stop. I never get a peaceful night's sleep anymore. This was one of the worse ones so far....

Turning over in my bed, I look over to my alarm clock. One minute early as always. Now, in three... Two... One.... 'BEEP BEEP BEEP' Five o'clock. My clock screeched, the sound clawing at my ears, walking me up fully. I quickly flicked the off switch, rolling out of bed onto the floor.

I hopped up and walked to the basin in my room. I picked up the big jug and filled it up with fresh cold water from the tap next to it. I filled up the basin with the water and placed down the jug. I grabbed a clean face cloth. I splashed my face with the water. Dampening the cloth I scrubbed my face and dried off with a towel. I yanked my hairbrush through my hair amd walked over to my little wardrobe.

Opening it, I see my regular clothing and boots along with spares of everything. Then, I see my sister's cloak. Turning around I can see my mother's locket hanging by the mirror. I turned back to my wardrobe.

I got dressed, and ran my left hand over my right arm. It was ice cold. My automail. I remember what happened, after that night, after I woke up in that room in the clinic.

Dr. Wilson had fixed me up enough for me to be able to go. Jason had to bring me to stay at Ms Henriett's so she could look after me. In the first two weeks I apologised repeatedly until my voice grew hoarse, I never said anything else. The next week I didn't say a single word. I lived like that with Ms Henriett, doing nothing but let my thoughts constantly race through my head for another week or so until I had made my mind up and I was absolutely sick of it. Sick of living like a leech, a parasite. Always relying on other people to do most things for me. I could hardly do a single thing for myself. I so was pathetic. I had looked at my options. First of all, I could live like a newborn baby for the rest of my life, but I had decided to screw that. So, I could get prosthetic limbs or I could get automail. With automail however, It'd be just like having my limbs back, pretty much anyway. So that was what I chose.

I told Ms Henriett about my idea. She was completely against it, but Jason on the other hand said it was my decision and so she was reluctantly convinced to agree to my decision. I then got Ms Henriett to take me around town in my wheelchair so I could ask around about the matter. I talked to several people and soon learned that there was an excellent automail mechanic in Resembool, Pinako Rockbell. Resembool was only about half an hour's drive away so I thought, 'Well... Why not?'

I figured that I might be there for a while so I got Ms Henriett to pack some of my things into a small suitcase and Jason grabbed some alchemy books from my house for me. The very next day, Jason took me in his car and brought me with him to Resembool.

Shaking my head I dismissed my memories for the moment and got dressed for work in the bakery. Before I left my room, I placed my mother's locket around my neck and grabbed my sister's cloak. I darted down the stairs and exchanged greetings with my co-workers, Freya and Garret. Garret was my right hand man, the assistant manager and Freya was a very trusted employee of mine. I had two other co-workers, William and Katherine, twins. But they were away visiting an ill relative at the moment.

I walked into the employee's lounge and I hung up my cloak and grabbed my apron. Garret and Freya sat down with me at a small table and the three of us had some breakfast. We cleaned up after ourselves afterwards. Jogging into the kitchen, I washed my hands and put on a pair of bakery gloves, getting ready to make a fresh batch of pastries.
