A 6'6" 275lbs blonde man with amber eyes, with sharp teeth and retractable claws on his fingertips, stares down at the tiny thing looking up at him.
"Whaddya looking at?" Creed hisses.
"Kitty!" The tiny brown haired little girl grins at him, arms up in the universal sign to be picked up, "Up! Kitty, up!" Her pigtails bounce as she moves.
Sabretooth eyes the tiny girl in disbelief before chuckling quietly, amused by her calling him 'kitty'
"You sure ya wanna get up close and personal with this kitty darlin'?" He muses.
"Kitty!" She giggles, arms still extended up towards him.
Sabretooth rolls his eyes, amused with her stubbornness, "Fine, but don't say I didn't warn ya darlin'." He says, before scooping the tiny girl up in his arms, holding her comfortably against his chest.
She squeaks happily, eagerly reaching to pet at his sideburns. "Big Kitty." She cooes, gently tugging at his long blonde hair.
Sabretooth chuckles, his amusement growing at her innocent behavior
"That's right, I am a big kitty. Don't go pulling my hair though, darlin. I ain’t some kinda toy." He warns playfully, his eyes taking in the girl. She couldn't be more than six years old he thought.
The little girl giggles and leans against his chest, hugging onto him with a surprising amount of strength for her age "Kitty purrs?" She asks, tilting her head in interest at his chest.
Sabretooth raises an eyebrow, surprised at her sudden question and strength "Purr? Darlin I ain't no housecat," He says amused. "I rumble," With that, Sabretooth lets out a deep, rumbly growl, his chest vibrates with the sound, sending it through the girl.
She gasps, kicking her feet in excitement, "Rumbles!" She states happily, "big kitty purrs!"
Sabretooth chuckles again, a smile playing on his lips "Alright darlin, we'll call it a purr for you," He says, his chest rumbling once again.
"But I ain't no housecat, remember that." He adds with a teasing tone, gently bopping her nose with his finger
She squeals softly, trying to be mindful, knowing cats have sensitive ears, so her kitty must have super sensitive ears.
Sabretooth's smirk widens at her reaction, charmed by her innocence
"You're a smart one, ain't ya? Most people aren't as courteous with their noise, darlin'" He gently ruffled her hair, his rough hand surprisingly gentle.
She giggles at his words, snuggling closer into his chest, wrapping her little arms around his neck.
"Soft." She states, nuzzling her face against his neck and making happy 'mm' noises.
Sabretooth's smirk turns into a soft smile as the girl nuzzles against his neck. "Now what's that supposed to mean darlin'?" He asked in a teasing tone, his voice a deep rumble
"You saying I'm soft?" He said playfully, looking down at her with a raised eyebrow.
The little girl giggles, nodding her head in agreement, "You are!" She says, still nuzzling against his neck.
"Soft! And warm." She adds, her little hand reaching up to gently touch his sideburns again.
Sabretooth chuckles deeply, his chest rumbling with it. "Warm, huh? Guess I got some good qualities after all," He says, his eyes glinting playfully as she touches his sideburns. "Just don't start calling me 'cuddle kitty' now," He teased.
".. Mmm.. my kitty." She mumbles against his shoulder, practically falling asleep in his arms
Sabretooth's eyes widen, slightly surprised by her words. "Your kitty, huh? Sounds like I've been claimed, darlin,'" He muses, his voice softening as he gently pats her back,
"You gonna keep me now? Take me home with ya?" He asked jokingly.
The little girl mumbles something unintelligible against his shoulder, snuggling closer to him. He can feel her slow, even breathing as she drifts off to sleep. His heart feels something strange, something almost sweet as he looks down at her. She was so small, so innocent, to think that she was claiming him, a feral mutant, a killer, as her own...
Sabretooth stands there for a moment, unsure of what to do. He'd never been in a situation like this before. He was used to killing, to causing fear, not gently cradling a sleeping child against his chest.
He gently pats her back, trying to sooth her further, and lets out a soft sigh. This was more than he'd ever expected when she called him "kitty" only minutes ago. He couldn't just leave her, could he? He looked around, searching for any sign of her parents or guardians.
But there was no sign of a frantic adult looking or calling for their missing child.
Sabretooth scans his surroundings again, making sure that they were truly alone, before looking down at the sleeping little girl in his arms. No one was coming to claim her, it seemed.
He lets out a sigh, conflicted. He wasn't exactly known for his paternal instincts, and taking care of a child was a foreign concept to him. But something about the way she called him "her kitty" softened something in him. He couldn't leave her now. "What'm I gettin' myself into..." he mutters under his breath.
He began walking through the city, careful to keep the little girl comfortable against his chest. As he walked, his mind wandered, thinking of what the future would hold. He'd never taken care of a child before, sure, he'd killed a few, but never raised one. And yet, he felt a strange sense of responsibility towards this little girl.
He knew he wasn't the best choice. He was dangerous, violent, probably as far from a stable parental figure as you could get. But she'd chosen him as her "kitty" and somehow that felt... right.
