Between You and Me

Chapter 4

CHAPTER 4

How could i forget, it was Tuesday and Tuesday was dancing day. I also go on Monday and Thursday but on Tuesdays I'm there for 5 hours straight.

I put on my dancing shorts labelled with our studio logo; Captivate. I then followed with my dance top which was blue and black, our studio colours.

Next I filled my drink bottle with water, as much as I could cause I knew I would need it. I put it in my Sportsgirl bag along with my ankle waits, ballet and tap shoes, spare stockings, a towel (in case I get really sweaty), snacks for in between classes and some spare hair ties and bobby pins.

Once I put my jazz shoes on I was ready to go. I hopped in my Pop's white Toyota and approximately 7 minutes later I had arrived just in time for my first class, acrobatics.

After an hour of acro I had Hip Hop followed by Jazz, Contemporary and Ballet.

Once I had finished all my classes I waved good bye to my teachers, Lauren and Alex, and headed down the stairs towards the exit. As I opened the door to walk out my path was blocked by a tall body.

We ran into each other causing their papers to drop. I looked up the bodies torso and saw the Raw Energy Cafe logo. Raw Energy was the new cafe neighbouring my dance studio, so workers would occasionally visit the studio ; I'm not really sure why.

As I continued my gaze upward I reached the persons face, dark brown eyes stared into mine. We didn't say anything for a good 10 seconds until he broke the silence.

"I'm really sorry. Um I didn't see you" A deep voice assured me.

"No no. Completely my fault" I said as we both started to pick up the papers scattered on the floor.

"I'm Hayden, by the way." He said sticking out hand for my to shake. Which I found cute considering he must be one of the only people who shake hands.

I let out a giggle at his remark and said "I'm Lily." taking his hand in mine.

"I like that name. It's cute, " he said with a smile as he shook my hand "I'm sorry about running into you. I wasn't watching where I was going."

"Thanks and that's alright. I wasn't watching either" I said with a smile "well I have to go. My mum's waiting for me."

" Alright. It's nice meeting you. When will I see you again?" He asked which took me by surprise considering we just met.

"Um I don't know. When is your shifts for work? I could come in and visit you if you want?" I replied

"Every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 2:30 to 7."

"Lily come on!" my mum yelled from the car

"I got to go. I'll see you later okay." I told Hayden.

"Bye Lily. " Hayden called out as I got into my mums car.

"See ya." I said with a wave shutting the door.

"Who was that?" My mum asked.

"Oh Hayden he works a the new cafe next door."

"Oh I see. He's very good looking."

"Mum!"

She just laughed and so did I.
