Hey, thanks for the reads! After this book I will be writing a book based on my fav RPG horror game. So stay tooned to read it. Now back to the story. Oh yeah I keep forgetting about the canon blasts, just imagine they're actually there.
/------/
Mitch tried to get up, but only managed to crawl to Lachlan. Lachlan was now on the ground, still screaming in pain. His body practically split in half, as blood poured out. Jerome was stunned but came towards Lachlan as soon as he could. Mitch and Jerome stood by Lachlan's side ,watching their friend bleed to death. They knew they couldn't, they've been in many similar situations before. His life was draining out of him, but he tried to hang on.
"G-guys, w-win the hunger games. Don't let K.C. win." Lachlan said in a raspy voice.
They heard that phrase so many times, and no matter how many times they knew they couldn't. Jerome knew it was impossible, but he nodded at Lachlan. Mitch stood there ,motionless, thinking his friend's death was in his hands. Mitch thought he could save Lachlan, but then if he could he would die in Lachlan's place. Mitch didn't answer Lachlan, his mind was somewhere else.
Jerome and Mitch were watching as their friend bled to death. Jerome silently cried, as Mitch swore vengeance to K.C. They stood there long after Lachlan died. They heard the canon blast but they stood there. They knew they should go to the next room, but they stood there. K.C. even walked by to look at Lachlan, and they still stood there. When K.C. left Jerome finally moved. He went to the bed then to Lachlan carrying a sheet to cover him up. Mitch stood by as Jerome did so. He couldn't handle another death, not after Lachlan.
He made up in his mind to make sure that he and Jerome will win the hunger games. Thoughts went through his head, thoughts which shouldn't be repeated. Jerome looked over to Mitch ,who is still looking down, and held his shoulder. Mitch couldn't stand death anymore. When Jerome held him ,Mitch hugged Jerome and held on to him. Jerome was taken by surprise but soon hugged Mitch back. He knew what he was going through, and he even needed comfort.
"Don't worry Mitch, we will escape and carry on their memories." Jerome said.
Mitch answered him by crying on his shoulder. They stood there hugging each other, both crying. After that they moved their scarce food to the next room, as well as their swords. They did this silently and quickly, no words exchanged. Once in their new safe room, Mitch sat in front of a wall and stared. Jerome watched him do so, having nothing else to do. Their whole group reduced to two.
"Jerome?" Mitch asked out of the blue
"Yeah?"
"When we get out, what will we do then?"
"We'll go to the police and report their deaths."
"What if the police don't believe us? What if in ,the end ,they believe we killed them?"
"Mitch don't worry, how can they believe we pulled a doorknob out of a door?"
"That's true, but we have swords. The others were killed by swords!"
"Just calm down, we'll figure it out when we get out." And with that they went back to silence.
It's been hours and neither of them moved. Eventually Jerome went to the bed and laid there, then so did Mitch. The last two members of the pack laid and hoped for a better day.

Sorry for a short chapter. I just need to sort out some of my ideas for the ending. Yes it is going to be short book about fifteen chapters or so. Well it is the hunger games they never last that long. Well not this hunger games.
